Good morning to all. Will not talk about my fantastic weather today.

Rick, did a lot of research before I installed the P/S filter. Was going to go for a cheapie in-line filter, but was suspicious of the flow rate thru them, especially as I have the hydraulic winch which also uses the P/S pump. Finally decided to bite the bullet and do it right and bought the Racor LFS 22825 filter kit. It has a 6 micron filter. Chickened out on installing it on the high pressure side, so now it is on the return line. No room in the engine bay, so installed it behind the fender liner on the RH side. The filter is easy to get to in that location.

Thanks Rick, the wife and I have been working double overtime that's why I been scarce around here. The north side of 40k for this wedding, I was beside myself and surprised that they go a LOT higher. We were reminiscing about our wedding back in the day and what it cost us since we paid for it. Out the door we spent around $2,500 with an open bar for 2 hours and an endless beer tap. Like I said that was back in the day!

My tux rental is $237 and change. Think it was 60 bux back then.

At the J&J I won the new 42" 240hz led tv. I finished a beer and looked at a buddy of mine and said I'm hitting the head, come in and let me know when I win the tv. he cam in as I was leaving and called me a bunch of stuff while laughing and said I won. Heck I been storing it and moving it around for 3 months.

Stan, that kit looks pretty straight forward but the lines look small. Are you using it as a by-pass filter or does all the fluid flow through it?

No by-pass, all the oil flows thru it. Using the same diameter hose as the OE return line. Forget what diameter it is, but it is quite substantial. 5/8" sticks in my mind, but not sure any more.
The steering and the winch work OK, so presume that everything is sized correctly.

My post was misleading, while the wedding is north of 40k the wife and I are throwing in 25k. That was what we planned on and saved for. We sat down with our daughter a several different local venues to get pricing. She wanted to go big and when she realized what it was going to cost had to throttle back quite a bit. Finally we told her here is 25k, anything over this is on you two. While I may have been laughing Hiedi I was crying on the inside.

Heck, I told here get married in the back yard, we'll through a huge barbecue and you can use the rest of the money for your honeymoon. She just looked at me with that look that her mom taught her.

"Won't let you work on it in the driveway"... Do you rent the land, like in a trailer park? Or are you in one of those 'commune' things? (It ain't a nudist colony, is it?)

40 grand??? For a wedding??? Holy crap! That's about $39,995.00 more than I'd be willing to pay! I figured IF I ever got married, I would charge people to attend it. 1st of all, no one would believe it so they might pay just to see it. 2ndly, I know people that would pay to see me dressed up! (not that I'd dress up for a wedding, but they wouldn't know that) 3rdly, I figured I'd find out who my REAL friends were pretty fast by who showed up and who didn't! After-all, knowing me comes with a price! As for the open bar... yeah, it'd be open. If you got enough money, the booze will keep flowin' too!

No, you didn't HAVE to, but you did anyway.

Afternooner all.

Got the truck and trailer all washed and waxed for tomorrow's event. Finished just in time to see them chip sealing the road out front. It's so dusty right now, it looks like there's smoke from a brush fire for as far as you can see.

Parole violation again?

Snhorts, an open bar means they're just open for business, right?

Yup, just give it away. But when they're out, they're out. So be quick. Then you go do the chicken dance and macarena.
