Howdy folks,

Mom, what kind of manual do you use to figure out how to fix your Mercedes? My dad always said, "Leave it to the Germans to design a coffee maker with 15 moving parts." I think he had just replaced his Mr. Coffee with a Braun or Bosch, then he had to go out to buy special filters. Anyway, I would like to fix all the little things that don't work on the wife's 85 percomeister, I mean, Mercedes, and I can't make heads or tails of it.

Thanks Heidi, we don't want that to get warm. For work I love the AZ sweet tea, just easier that way. For home I like to make my own tea.

How'd you find that stuff? I thought the dragon in the corner had it under lock and key for me! Gonna have to have a talk with the dragon.

Yeah watch out, it packs a nice little punch.

It was very good eatin, got done with my lunch today and was ready to go find a place to take a nap but the boss was out in the shop too much for that.

Good afternoon, back to the grind again today. Worked on one that got in a bad wreck two weeks ago. It's gettin closer on being done now, should be out of the shop friday afternoon. GF and I got tickets last night to go see Robin Williams in Chicago at the end of September. I've seen his stand up on DVD and its funny, I'm excited to see him live. My grandpa is coming into town tomorrow evening so I'm gonna straighten up around here a little.

Its always a good idea to give the local FD a courtesy call. Atleast let them know your there and not to respond unless you call.
A buddy of mine knows all the people on his local FD, they will show up about dark to drink a beer or two and see if he needs it knocked back before it gets very late.

You mean a Mercedes doesn't use the same tool kit as a VW?
1 rubber mallet
2 steel hammer
3 BFH.
used in that order.

Sticking my head in and letting y'all know I'm still kicking. Feel like a one legged man in a **** kicking contest. January '09 is looking real good. This old grunt is ready to hang the uniform up. Management (officers) is at the point of not even making a comment about it.
Gonna git outa here and get some sleep, maybe. Another one starts tomorrow.

Evening all

Been a couple of days. Man we're in some kind of a heat wave. 32on Fri 34 Sat and Sun, started to melt on Sun but found some shade. At work today we had a PSV to remove and because it was steam they made us wear a rubber suit for the initial break. Sure glad it didn't take long to break it. Went to town to pick up a fuel filter after work... switched the overhead to temp and it said 37*C. Way to hot for this neck of the woods. Don't know how some do it when it's this hot all summer.

Heading to B.C. on Friday for a family reunion. Don't know how many will make it. We're scattered from one coast to the other and from northern B.C. south to San Diego as far as I know. Everyone is getting older and want the 1st and 2nd cousins and beyond to know each other. Well at least meet each other. We all have when younger but as we all get older we tend to go our own ways. There have been a lot of babies born and a few passed away since we had the last big one.

Have a couple from wifes work out cutting trees up for this winter. Asked how much they could have... I said just keep cutting I'll tell you when to stop. Been back for 2 days now. Both cutting and hauling so it doesn't take long for them to get a load. Splitting all of that will get them in shape. Says he burns 5-7 or so cords a winter, not much of a dent out of 40 acres.

Going to try and watch some of the Olympics tonight. Hope everyone's week started out well. Nighty Night DTR.

Wink why was I up early?

light rain, perfect snoozing weather.....up at 6AM UGH!!!!

pics are trailer project done.full insulation, three different electrical systems, windows, generator compartment and stereo set up, three kinds of lighting.
vent fans and shower(inside or outside). slide in or remove double bed, stove/oven, refridge, port a poop. always room for cargo. harley will go in for next year's trip out West- we will stay out there and see the redwoods.
bottom was rustproofed and sealed, hydronic heat installed to run off of truck, then insulated, air gapped and steel panels on road side. just have to put black paint around windows. tired of tailgaters, I put black reflective lettering on the back- CORONER. poof, no tailgaters anymore.

last pic is on next mountain over (Cohocton) windmills at sunrise above the valley fog.

DAVEY DSSICIMEK- answer to you is September 3rd through the 10th to camel races in Virginia City, Nevada. land of Bonanaza! fly out of Buffalo, taking the mini hotel room on wheels(trailer) next year for the 50th anniversary of the camel races. raising money for an orphanage, Nevada has no state tax. proud to fall off a 12 foot camel at 30mph for them....
this is the photo year promotion for the 50th, lotsa calendars and group fund raising pictures in costume (we dress as ladies of the evening ala 1860s). good good people, lotsa good food in camel camp!

TROOPER sore back man; I PMd you with information.

IJobb I still have to send you out a gooodie box, I did not forget. yet.

Mornin all

Thunder boomers all around us last night. Maybe 4 drops of rain. Lots of light show thats about it. Not one cloud in the sky this AM so am expecting it to be hot again today.

Isn't cleaning out the fridge your job??? Scott. Whats this trying to sluff it off on some unsuspecting birthday boy. j/k We could hook up the fire hose and give it a real cleaning. Hahaha

Have to get at it so drive safe and have fun.

Thanks for thinking of us - - slept like a baby, although wifey was up most of the night due to her problems. Storm has cut in lower in the state than anticipated and harder east. So, it will be coming up the state east of us meaning we are on the good side. Sooooo, I am looking for some winds and rain this afternoon, but nothing major - - - and after all my hard work getting ready. Even went down and shuttered up a friends store last night because they are out of town. Oh well, better safe than sorry. We do have some tornado warnings around, so it could still happen. So far, no damage.

So, yes I will have some ph00 before putting some "stuff" back in the lanai and getting it so we can move around in the family room. I just need to get Heidi down here - - she will make it happen - - what a gal. Love that trailer -- looks great.

I will take a slower lazy day today and enjoy it. Have fun - - I'm out of here.
