I've got a really nice a pair of converse boots they look kinda like moon boots but comfortable and really light weight. come with a steel toe option and zipper side for those lazy days that you dont feel like tying them.

I'm all for the RedWings boots, or Worx (made by RedWing). I used to swear by Wolverines, but the soles wear out in less than a year. I've been wearing these Worx boots for over 3 years now and I can't wear them out, they are just so comfy, and the leather and soles are still in great shape, not the most attractive with the Met gaurds, but still comfy.

I have a pair of Rocky lace up ropers that I love. They are cushy like a tennis shoe, but provide great support. I also have a pair of Ariat pull-ons that are also very comfortable. They are western boots, and I don't know if you are looking for that.

I have a pair of Doc Martens that I've had for the past 5 years. I wear them every single day and they still have a decent amount of tread on them. I've never been happier with a boot, although I wish they did breath a little better. My feet sweat like CRAZY! Other than that I love them!

Ditto. I made the switch to Ariats back in 2000 and I'll never wear anything else. Best boot I've ever owned.

I've had good luck with the new wolverine multishox. better tread compound than before and better arch than the durashocks. The redwings pecos are also a great breathable boot.

Ariats. The soles are designed so they won't make you waddle or put too much stress on one side of the heel.

I use to wear redwings but switched to ariats when I saw a nice pair on sale, leather was much nicer and tried them out. I'll stick to them unless I find something nice on sale that I want.

Don't buy cheap boots. I wore my ariats on a quail hunting trip and the guy wearing catipillars was just hurting. I felt just fine all day, not a bit of uncomfort. That right there sold it for me.

Another time in my RedWings on a side job doing exploration work carrying cables all day through rugged terrain my feet were bleeding by day's end. I don't think that would happen with the ariats.

I agree, don't buy cheap boots! Take care of your feet!!
I've worn Red Wings steel toe hiking style boots daily since 99. Red Wing has re-sewn a seam and replaced a broken lace on one of my 3 year old pair of boots for nothing. I'm happy with them.
