Bobcat 751C-Series: Convert from Peugeot to Kubota engine?

We want to replace a destroyed Peugeot engine with a Kubota engine in a Bobcat 751C-Series(I think it's a 1994 Bobcat). Kubota sales a conversion kit with the engine, but, they refuse to tell which engine it comes with and will only sale the kit with the engine. All we were trying to find out was if the engine that came with the kit was one of the electronic injection engines or is it what we really would like...one that's mechanical like a 12v cummins is. So, does anyone know if there is a Kubota engine that has mechanical injection, or at least eliminates the electronics, that can be used to replace the orginal Peugeot engine that was standard in a Bobcat 751C-Series and which one is it? Also, does anyone know which engine comes in the conversion kit? Thanks for the help!!!

I should be a V2203 Kubota, which is entired mechanical except for the fuel shutoff.

That said the new power packs come with an electronic 2203. Not that its a big deal, still a stand alone package. But the older 2203 style is an unbeatable engine, 20 - 30 thousand hours if properly maintained.

Thanks for the info. Also, I found out that the 751 used V1903 Kubota engines at some point. I'm guessing the V1903 was probably used later in their production. Now, what I'd like to find out is if these engines are direct replacements for the Peugeot...meaning bolt patterns and engine mounts. Thanks again!

I think that the actual flywheel housing / pump drive is SAE pattern, unless it is a transverse engine, in which case that is out the window.

The 1903 is the little brother of the 2203 4 cylinder, smaller power, close to the same dimensions.

You would need to fab engine mounts, or buy them. If the pump in the C is shaft driven, getting the right flywheel/fan and yoke would be most easily done through bobcat.
