Blizzard warning _ Illinois and Iowa

Just a warning - if you're planning to travel through the Quad Cities area and north this afternoon into tonight - there's a blizzard waring out for light snow and 40+ mph winds. Be careful if out in this!

Tell me about it. I'm living in it.

We've got 30+mph winds and 5 degrees F. Windchill........Some where well below zero.
I was out in it with my horse trailer. Its hard to hold the door open AND load a horse in that wind.

It is heading towards Ohio sometime tonight late from what I hear . Not much snow but high winds , we have had some good winds the last few days here . I took my plane up yesterday and heading south I had a ground speed of 80 mph and when I headed back north I hit 160 mph . I think I will stay on the ground the next few days the way it looks .

Just started here, fog & mist 36* F. The winds just started blowing from the Northwest. They are already letting some kids out of school early . It's not going to be THAT bad. In the morning will have to fire up the snowblower again . Just have to make it thru March and can at least start thinking about boating season.

Already been through here. About an inch of snow accumulated, but I don't know how that happened because it was snowing sideways. My wife was driving home in it around noon. She called me scared to death because she said she couldn't see the road. It looked pretty nasty out. Everybody be careful.

Fox, they let them out early cause of black ice. Remember all that snow last week? And the 50* weather we had yesterday and this morning? It has dropped +20* since 12pm. Let me tell you, blowing a stop sign at a t-intersection trying to stop and you have to turn or end up in the ditch scares ya. Now try going up the hill in the direction you just blew the stop sing with a car behind you and another Ferd coming at you. Not good!

same here temp dropped in a hurry 38 this morning and really nice. Now it's snowing and blowing 25 -30 mph and -18 wind chill and dropping fast. Could have winds tonight up to 60mph with -10 temp. No idea what that makes the wind chill but who cares it's COLD
