A Big Thankyou!
Just wanted to extend a big thankyou to this website and its members. While awaiting the arrival of my new truck, I spent a considerable amount of on this site educating myself on the new Dodge. I was formerly a Ford 7.3 owner. Now that I have my new Ram, I must say, there is no comparison. I drive around w/a big grin on my ugly mug. Thanks again!!!!!

It was the old 7.3. You're right..........Huge HP difference. Can't complain about the truck much, though. Last Nov. I hit a tree, head on @ approx. 50 MPH, and walked away with a couple of cuts and a lot of aches and pains. Hence, the order of a new truck!

I had a couple of old IDI's over the years and they were great trucks just not powerhouses. But I tell ya I'd take an old IDI 7.3 over a 6.5 Chev any day. Drove a 4500 on Friday with 4 skids of sod on it. Right to the floor it was doing about 45 and smoking like it was going to ignite. What a gutless POS. Never drove one before. Hope I don't ever again.
