It's probably the same guy, a truck gets around a lot. Years ago before internet, I ran a 42 foot long wire over my flat bed trailer for ham radios. It had an odd looking deal to attach the wire at the front over the tractor. I ran 48 states authority, got comments and heard comments from all over the country. In the letters section of one of the trucker magazines someone even mentioned it. Don't forget what a truck does, he runs back an forth hauling freight, does not stop much.

Everyone knows that an empty trailer is harder to stop (without tire lock up) than a full trailer due to the lack of wieght!
Thus the additional wieght over the trailer tires!

I saw this thread over the weekend. I was going north on I-5 today & a flatbed passes me with a tonka truck strapped down on his trailer. I key up the cb & told him about this site & the thread, so he calls home to have someone look to see if it was him. They couldn't find the post. But his truck was blue conv. Davis trucking out of Montana. I guess those poor flatbeders are running out of good loads to haul. Hope we don't run out of fuel to haul.
