Best lift for Jeep?
I know there are a lot of guys with jeeps on here, so what is the best suspension lift for a yj series. Looking for something around 3" to 4". Point me to some websites if you can.

Can't go wrong with Rubicon Express. IT REALLLY depends on what you want to do with your rig. I assure you, once you start you will go and go and go. What is your tire size you are looking at? I don't know all that much about YJ's, but check out www.jeepsunlimited.com for tons of info.

If it were me Id spring over it. Best lift you could ever do unless you went all out with coils. Spring unders are fine, but for the cost/benefit spring overs are hard to beat.
Thats my .02

Great stuff at reasonable prices.
I think Howy is right...do a spring over add some lockers and some 35's and youll be able to tackle just about anything...(and get the round headlight conversion)

Yup, round headlights are where its at. SOA lift, ARB lockers, 35's and you'll be WELL on your way to tackeling a lot of stuff. I'm on my way to 40's, 609 axles, rear spool, 5.13s, 4:1 TC, me's excited

Thanks for the info guys. Wont be buildin a rock crawler, just somethin to enjoy the outdoors in, but I dont want to get in a bind on some little rock either. Ill be lookin into the spring over the axle deal. It looks fairly simple and its a job that can be done by myself.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
Custom spring packs, all SUA, body trimming to keep a low COG, 35"-37" tires and more body trimming. Wait.... you said NOT building a crawler.
OK.. Any standard 3-4" lift from a name brand company will do just fine if you are looking to just have a better capable offroad rig. If there are ANY plans for a specific style of offroading better start the mods now to reflect this because it will cost A LOT more doing it twice or more.

You're going to find many varying opinions on this.
I bought the Rubicon Express 2.5" Extreme Duty lift when it came out. No problem rubbing 31's offroad. They also sagged terribly. Moved to the RE 4.5" XD. "Now guaranteed not to sag." Took about 2months to sag. I was able to rub the same 31's offroad. Moved to SOA. I've heard quite a few are happy with BDS. A proper SOA is not cheaper than staying SUA. Also requires alot more work. Having springs custom made for SUA would be a great way to go. Problem is cost. My custom SOA are made by Alcan. No sag after running my heavy YJ SOA for a couple of years.
