Ive got a 700 Raptor and its a love hate relationship. It has some isues. I love it when it is running and not vapor locked sitting dead on the trail. It is probobly still one of my favorite ATVs out of the 5 Ive had in the garage in the last 6 years. It is a totaly diferent beast than a utility and is not as good for certain trails that I like to ride. I am considering trading it for a second utility machine so that I can get threw the Colorado trails better. If its just a normal dirt trail taht is not muddy/rocky then its fine and I prefure it, but those trails dont exsist where I like to ride.

I have gotten my Raptor down this trail but it was not fun at all. When we got back to camp I parked it and rode my budies Brute Force the rest of the trip. As a matter of fact I was sitting on my Raptor when I took this pic of my wife on her Grizz. I will NEVER ride the Raptor on a trail of this nature EVER again. Utes do it so much better.

Enjoy the BF they are a good machine.

I've got a 660 Raptor, it goes alot of places, but really needs man-handled when you are running in the stuff where you should have a 4x4.

We have ours geared down a little bit, and performance/street tires on it. I'll see if I can get some pics..

I agree with ya. When its time to buy my next one, Im pretty certain it will be an utility bike. It wont be for a couple years anyways so who knows what they will have out then.

Paul, You just have no idea how bad I want to go to Alaska! If I could retire today and become a full-time RVer I'd do it....and Alaska would be my first long trip....and I'd stay for several months. I would definately have to bring the Brute Force too!

It would take me at least a week to get there and a week to get back (not counting the time there), so until I retire....I just can't burn a month of vacation in one go.

But Alaska is on my list. The biggest name on my list. In fact, my former girlfriend bought me an AlaskaB4UDie bb cap.

Hes right. I have four wheeled all over the states and Alaska is #1 by far. So many different trails. I ride in Wis a couple of times a year and it is no comparison. My dad comes up here and gets spoiled he say. Doesnt want to ride back home no more.

Alaska is one of the places I'd like to check out, too. Hopefully sometime before retirement.

Oregon has some really great riding areas, but Alaska looks awsome.

I have BRP 800. It is awsome. 800cc, v twin, EFI. 80+ mph top speed. the grin factor is off the chart. I can beat most sport quads. It will do anything I have the guts to do. If you really want to ride, this is it. If you just want a utility quad you don't need the 800.
