A belated thankyou
Thanks for the hospitality Charlie (crobtex) and Rob (hotdram)
I have been meaning to get this out earlier.
I was down in Dallas at the end of August for some more training. Charlie and Rob invited me out for an evening with Dennis (shortround) and the following weekend Charlie and I went down to the Texas dtr chapter meeting in Waco. I had a good time putting faces to names. I thought it was pretty considerate for Charlie to arrange for the president (or at least his plane) to give me a fly by while I was down there too
I have placed some photos in my gallery (waiting for approval...)
The things I learned this summer: Dallas is HOT and stays hot all night. Up north here the hottest time of the day is from noon to about three down there it is about three to six or so and stays hot all night, here it gets to the mid sixties to low seventies. Houston is HUMID! Had fun running around the Johnson space centre. Good grief this northern boy just hadn't experianced anything until I climbed out of the compfy air conditioned car in Galviston. I darn near laughed myself silly when my co-workers glasses fogged up as soon as he exited the car.
Once again, Thanks guys. I enjoyed your company, your hospitality and learning a bit about Texas. If you find your way up in my neck of the woods I hope to return the favor.

Enjoyed your company, and was glad to get you out of that hotel room for a little while. It was an education for me too. It's amazing how an imaginary line kind make some things a lot different in regards to government, regulation, etc.
Give us a shout if you ever make it this far south again.
The invitation also goes out to any of you that happen to pass this way.

It was good meeting you to. Maybe you should visit in the fall. The temperatures are probably more to your liking. 70-80* during the day and 50-60* at night. Oops. Sorry. Those are winter temps. Fall is more like 80-90* in the day and 70-80* at night. You did come down on one of the hotter weeks this summer.

Dennis is really Bruce... just like Hoss is really Java... who everybody knows is really Jack.... maybe that means Bruce is Jack.... it's all a conspiracy, don't let them fool you.

HOW do you think they get away with all the stuff they do
and stay away from Huntsville??? It ain't safe over there.
If I knew all them guys was in that area I would have a place to stay
and wouldn't have to shell out for motels.
Next time I leave here for that area I'll post my intentions.
any of you guys gun nuts?
