Anyone see "I am Legend" ?
Saw it Friday. I don't know. I feel robbed, disappointed............let down. Will Smith was good, but the plot lacked soooo much and the movie was too short. I don't want to spoil it by saying anything else, but unlike Transformers, I won't be back to see it three times.

know what you mean..
thought it lacked a bit in the middle contrasting to the previews.
BUT enjoyed what was there and son went to the unedited run, lots of delected scenes- this might be better on DVD......
this was from a CZECH director and writers. not to be rude, but it didn't flow smoothly and with son's explaination, it made sense now.
was pleasantly surprised by transformers too, but I am old- won't pay to see a movie twice...heheheh
this current film though makes for good conversation, thought provoking and questions about who did what and why-
a jumpy movie but not scary

Glad I read this thread. I wanted to see it last nite but we went to see Alvin & The Chipmunks instead, not as bad I thought it would be.
I didn't get to see Transformers in the theaters so I had to settle for the DVD, you atleast need a nice TV and a surround system for movies like that.

pretty much an update to the movie in 60s...OMEGA MAN
1964 - "The Last Man on Earth", starring Vincent Price
1973 - "The Omega Man", starring Charleton Heston
2007 - "I Am Legend", starring Will Smith
Check out the Vincent Price version - very good flick, and a chance to see Price when he was acting in a more serious role, and not in the "campy" horror flicks for which he is better known.

Yes i saw it, But the only reason i went to see it was for the upcoming movies! It had the previews for "The Dark Night" Batman. NOW THAT is going to be an awesome movie. The Joker is played pretty darn good i think. But as far as I am legend i thought it was just another movie, really too short and not thought out too well. But decent for a rainy day.

Read the book a long time ago. Even though Omega Man was disliked by the critics I loved it. Course I was 17 so being able to walk up to a car dealer and take anything I wanted was appealing. Think I will wait on the new movie until its on DVD.

I saw it opening day. Lot of people were disappointed. I have not read the book or seen any of the other 2 previous movies. I could grasp the movie makers concept of being the last man alive and how boring it would be, but I think it could have been longer and more in depth. Also more action and scenes surrounding the decline of the city and populous. It really should have covered so much more of the story. I would have to put it in the "Sum of all fears" category, I paid to see a NUKE! not just some dust, a crashing helicopter and a poorly done CG mushroom cloud after the fact! But for what it was it was an OK movie. I don't think it warrants a second viewing as far as I am concerned.See it, make your own judgments.
