Re:Anyone have a Yamaha LS 2000?
Worked on a few. Worked on one today. I work for shrouts Power sports in KC Mo. Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and bombardier. I guess they are.Heard they would move fast. I heard like 60-65. Never drove one but have not seen any major problems or anything. Mostly service and some small stuff. Depending vin # there was some recalls you might want to have checked out on the Late 90's LS 2000. Are you buying it from the dealer or the owner. Might think about having the dealer check out the boat if you are buying it from a person. Just a though. I have seen many people regret not having it checked out before buying. Just the other day we had a guy bring in a PWC for us to check out. Saved him the cost of a new engine. If you have any questions just ask. More then happy to help. -Anthony
I did buy it, and I like it! Have to adjust the throttle levers- left is too loose and right is too tight. Everything else seems to be good. Oh...have to put a stereo in it.

Need a bimini top. Any ideas where to get one? Dealer wants too much.

Thanks, Mike

Okay, forgive me for my ignorance here about boats. I saw a Yamaha boat out on the lake yesterday. 250hp engine I believe. This thing was doing 360's just like a jet ski. WOT and a hard turn and she was goin the other way. I have also heard these can be run underwater, WOT throwing in reverse. Now, I have never seen a prop driven boat able to do this, so I am thinking it has the same setup as a jet ski ??? Either way, that thing was awesome.

The LS 2000 has 2- 135 HP jetski engines. 270 HP total. some guys have them BOMB'ed to 310 HP.
Jet drives. They handle almost like a jetski. Great boats. Very agile.

Mike
Marine not to sure where to find a top. Maybe try the net and search for one. Other then that I don't. Sorry bud. I am glad to hear that you like the boat. They are to 1200 cc wave runner engines. there is a few different models with different hulls and motors to. Well enjoy the new LS 2000
I have heard something about throwing the boat into reverse and getting it to go under but. I don't advise that though. -Anthony
