Anyone Familiar with Lemon Law in TX?

Back at the end of March, my wife & I bought a 2007 Pontiac G6 for her. My 1st experience with GM was a disaster back in 2000 when I bought a new work truck that they ended up buying back due to a bend frame.

I swore then never to buy another GM product, but to keep the peace at home, I gave in and guess what, another problem that GM claims is part of the normal operation of the vehicle.

When you start the engine, it spits and sputters, shakes the whole care and finally lines out. Depending on the time elapsed since the last start up, this condition could last as long and a couple of minutes. The MPG is nowhere near the projected sticker mileage, which I know is an estimate anyway, but I wonder if they are not all related.

My question is does anyone have any inside info or suggestions for me to pursue this? I am awaiting a call from the area GM rep. He has 48 hours until I track him down. Tick-Tock......

Have you gone to the Texas DOT web site. I think they have the lemon law in there. Usually if a vehical is repaired 3 times and the problem not fix it falls under the lemon law. Call to other GM dealer service departments and explaine what it is doing, and ask if it is a problem. If it is, can they fix it?
good luck and please post the results.

Will do, might be beneficial to someone else down the road.

Thanks for the info on the TXDOT site. I just got a call back from my "customer care" person, and they informed me if I get a lawyer involved, which I mentioned (not threatened) I was seeking council in our previous call, that they would be unable to help me. I question the help she was referring too, and she even said they would no longer work on my car. That sounds kinda bogus to me.

Dont know bout the lemon law, but as for the problem. We had a very similiar thing with our 06 2500hd 6.0l. They said it was bad gas, so after a tank flush and filter change, it ran good. Maybe mention this to the dealer?
