Anyone ever wondered what Hell was like?
I experienced it last night. My clutch went out on my Mazda truck and I had the tranny out and it was time to put it back in. I had less than 2 feet of working space and was doing it by myself. I had no tranny jack (wouldn't have fit under there anyway) and no beer. Anyway, the tranny only fell on my head once and crushed my chest 3 times but I finally got it in and survived without losing any fingers or other vital parts. I think next time I have to drop the tranny I will cough up some $$ and pay some other poor soul to do it.

You know, I've done that before to and that was hell. My only question is why did they put a tranny designed for a 350 chevy behind a 4 cyl POS? That tranny was bigger than the whole blasted engine.

My little Honda is shuttering now and has about 9" of pedal travel before the clutch engages. I am looking for some poor soul to help me with this one......
Working in cramped places stinks, it's just a gaurantee you are going to be all cut up by the time it's over.

That's about what it would take for to do this again without a lift.

What hell is like? Was at the local Furd dealership, and saw a PSD 6.0L owner come walking in. The look on his face appeared to me that he knew exactly what it was like, and that his 6.0L ownership provided the priveledge of residence there.
I told him I'd pray for him, but later I couldn't hide a grin at the growl and puff of smoke my truck made 1 compression stroke after bumping the starter.

91 Civic DX, ghetto cruiser. It was given to me when my Mom-Mom died. I am all about keeping it in good running order, but by the sounds of it, it is beyond my scope of experience.
I checked out a honda/acura site, everyone there acts like it is a breeze, then I saw a pictorial review of the job.
Too much stuff to have to move out of the way for me.....
Guy in NoVA offered to do it for $200.00, me providing parts (about $90.00) He is too far away for all that.
