Any of you guys got any hot rod projects aside from your truck?

As for me, I still have the Nova, waiting for cash for a F2R, like that is going to happen anytime soon.
I have a long term 79 Caprice 2 door project, blending the 86-90 Euro front end and tail lights, with 96 Caprice 9C1 front and rear suspension, engine is up in the air, but I am leaning towards a LS based engine with a 4 speed. This one is far enough out there that you make most of the stuff yourself.
Also a 69 Chevelle 350/300Hp 4 Speed, factory car except for the engine, she is factory black/black and I want to do her last, because I only have patience to do one black car right before I hang up my spray gun, right now she is relegated to waiting, acquiring parts as I have cash.
Other quick cash projects like a 78 Riveria 1 owner and a 82 Camaro, paint, fix up and sell type projects to fund the others.
Past that I have a crazy idea about a 3.0L Mercruiser 4 banger I picked up, it is basically an Iron Duke 2.5 on steroids with a Chevy bellhousing. I have a later crossflow head to adapt, then a Chrysler 2.5 Turbo....... That one is begging a cool body like an early Nova, Falcon futura, or Rambler American and a stick.....

You know what we have goin on then.......
Man, some of you guys do have really cool projects. I knew there would be people on the forum with hotrod stuff. I really like the old ford pickups! The rest of you guys, good luck with your builds! It definitely takes time and determination as I have learned.

Some really awesome projects here, makes me jealous that I don't have the time or money for something.
If I ever get enough spare cash (boat tends to take up alot of that) I would love to get one of these monsters....

Recently i have been dreaming about making a new project...
I want to take a "Legends" Stock car (the ones that look like old fords), stretch it a tiny bit, widen it enough to sit 2 side-by-side, put a Hayabusa engine in it with a turbo charger, and make it street legal and using it for my daily commute to work...
One of the biggest goals would be to keep it light (no more then 1500lbs), and still make it look as close to an old ford as possible... I was also kicking around the idea of a gear reduction box... Making it a stop light racer and still giving it some highway speed... It sure would open up some eyes at the local cruise lots and take some money out of the pockets of the hot rodders...
I am thinking the limitations would be the lack of torque, but I know the HP is there since some guys are pushing into the 600hp limits with those bikes and turbos... Whoops and no reverse, but who needs that, when I was a kid my dad drove a truck for a year that had reverse out of it, it just took some planning when parking...

Yea thats pretty fast but as i said, that has been done with 331 and 347 turbo mustangs for i dont know how long an they stay street legal and still get good fuel mileage. Go to murillomotorsports.com , he had a white street legal, bumper standing, 9 second mustang that he drove to the track and ran 9's!
