Any of you guys got any hot rod projects aside from your truck?

Do any of you guys have any special projects that you work on when you have time? My time any money pretty much goes to my race car now days. Just got tired of spending money on my diesel so here are a few pics of my race car. If you guys have any special projects post them up!

My project is an 85 mustang with a 5.3 liter engine out of an 05 Chevy truck. Its mated to a TH350 transmission with a 5500 rpm stall converter.

SO5.9 did you buy that off craigslist? Why in the world do people do that to mustangs? I have yet to see a mustang with a chevy motor go fast! You can spend half that money and go faster with a ford motor and still be fuel injected!

Nah man. Ive had this car in the barn nearly 2 years now. I was after the light weight of the Fox body and the sweet triangulated 4 link rear suspension they have from the factory. Id imagine this car will break the trend of a chevy engine not going fast. Ive got nothing in the engine ($365 for 30k longblock w factory 325hp) other than used parts (cam, supporting valvetrain, 150hp nitrous plate kit), the intake and engine controller were less than $500 combined........ No way you could go faster on half of our budget bud. That would require you running way faster than 12's on $550.

Oh yea. I definitely have a long way to go but at least I have most of the parts now.......AND ive got plenty of time off this semester since I only have 4 hours left until graduation. Would like to have it finished by april or so... The car will be at wichita falls, kennedale or denton regularly.

I'm a big 73-76 Ford pickup fan, had one with a 460 mint condition but sold it, got my other project, a 76 f-100 with a fresh 390 (with some tricks) and a c-6 auto that will be built up. Gonna slam the truck to the ground, and black it out.

My past project that I sold (miss it too). My 76 will be better than this one.

74 F-100, 460 BB, C-6 auto, 9" rear, lots of engine work, original paint and interior, wheels have been on the truck since '78. hard to find a truck like this.

You haven't seen project half breed then man, with a LS1 they ran low 10's for a stupid low number of 5-6Gs total?

The guy who has it now is in the 9's without doing much else. The Fox body is a great platform, and the LS series engines are equally great.
