Any Coon hunters?
Season opened today in Illinois and opens Thursday here in Indiana. Got 3 nice ones tonight in about 2.5 hours. had a good walk in the brisk air ( about 35*). Had a few more slip away while we were busy with 2 in the same tree. Good night , especially considering the 23mph winds!

We used to go all the time when my brother and I moved out dad sold the dogs and I havent been in about 15 years. I sure do miss hearing the dogs bawl down the trail. I have always thought I would get some dogs when I had kids old enough to enjoy it.

Yea, I miss slogging through the woods, wet, cold and lost.......
J/K, but when the dogs end up 2 miles away in another timber stand and its 15 below/40 MPH winds...... I used to think "why am I here and how did I let Dad talk me into this?"
All in all, something to wax nostalgic about, not do as an old man......

We sell them various ways. We sell some whole to a company that mounts them and sells them to places like cabela's and gander mountain and such. We sell "green" hides that are basically frozen hides no work done to them, and we sell stretched and dried hides. Different prices for all, but the season also dominates which buyer pays the most too.
