Hey, I'm looking at an '08 Challenger SRT8. Guy wants about $10k less than ANYONE else is asking for them. It has 4k mi on it and minor rock chips on the hood. (Haven't seen the car yet) The bumper has been repainted and windshield, grille, headlights been replaced, so no rock chips or pits in them. Guess he had it on a roadtrip and got pelted pretty good with some gravel. Other than that it's reported to look like new still. Has Nav, but no sunroof.
Whats a fair price for this? What's a good price for this?

 

Bumper, headlights, grill, ect new?
10K less than any other dealership/seller?

Sounds like something is wrong...perhaps small fender-bender?

Could be wrong though. Get a closer look first.

Yeah, of couse my first thought was it's been in an accident. I'm gonna run a carfax, but likely nothing would show up unless it was a major wreck, appears this guy pays cash for everything......
I can't go look at the car unless I decide to buy it, as it's too far away to make 2 trips. Trying to get a hold of a buddy in the area to look at it first for me.
Assuming it's not been wrecked (he claims it was cosmetic rock damage, which is entirely possible), what would a good price be for a numbered SRT8, being that it's not in "showroom" condition?
