Another Chinese "Quality Product"

Does China make any quality products?
Seems like a lot of members are buying Chinese Tires because they are so much cheaper. I would never purposely buy any thing from China. China is taking our jobs and killing our economy with their cheap inferior products.
DONT SUPPORT THEM!

I'm afraid the "them" you are refering to are American companies who can get goods built for 1/10 the price there that they can get here. These companies call out the design, approve the final products, and market them to us. Price sells. In fact low prices are mandatory to stay in business when competing with other companies who get goods made overseas.
And by the way, there are many many high quality products "in" China. Just not the ones built as cheaply as possible to American specs and sold here.

I see a lot of American branded tools are now made in China. I wont buy them. The only way to stop it is to quit buying their crap. I believe more people feel this same way. If we all makes some noise maybe change will happen.
I don't ever see myself living "in" China so I will not support them if it is in any way possible. Some times you have no choice.

Chinese crap is one of the things bringing the company down that i work for. Unfortunately we were forced to go this route when all our competitors started selling their junk. I hate Chinese stuff and also try not to buy it if I don't have to. They could care less about the quality of the junk they are selling us. We have to pay for it in advance and if there is a problem we are stuck with it....

A guy I work with owns property in Florida. He stated that any house that was rebuilt, or newly constructed using Chinese drywall has to be torn down.

we use some chinese made components. up front they are cheaper. alot of the quality comes in from the company using the items knowing upfront that they are gonna have to do alot of extra work in getting a good product.
this includes proper terms of delivery and payment.
third party US testing.
making trips to china to audit the manufacturer REGULARLY.
the chinese will take any advantage to cheapen the products any chance they get.
We pay at 6 months after acceptance.
We only pay for whats acceptable. they can pay for return shipment of the bad parts if they want them back.
We routinely test received parts to make sure the chemistry and mechanicals are correct.

Chinese may be a language we will need to learn in a few years! With all the money they have invested in America through this financial crisis, when they call their notes we (US Government) will be in the same position as the banks, foreclosed on. And Chinese will become our language. Then we'll be making junk parts for peanuts?

You have to wonder, if we ever happened to go to war with them over N.Korea, Iran or something, would their crap last longer than 6 months under battle conditions?
