Annoying robin

I have this robin that comes to my back house door and incessantly pecks at it early in the morning. More times a lot earlier than I get up. While its there it makes droppings all over the place. This year is its second year back. The door it pecks on is mostly glass and not sure if it can see into the house or not. Anyway, anyone know what causes this bird to go nuts on my glass? I have a 20 caliber air gun ready, if I can't persuade to go elsewhere.

Thanks

I'll give you my wife's cat, he'll take care of the pesky bird for you. Just keep your hands and feet away from him, he's vicious.

If they can see themselves in the glass they will peck at it. We have a robin that comes around every year and pecks on the mirrors of the trucks all day long. Boss just bought a brand new chevy with that big chrome bumber and the robin pecked that crap out of and left marks all over it.

I forgot to mention, the bird has also attacked my CTD. Perches on the large side mirrors and goes to town on the windows.

The air gun sounds like your best option.

Sounds more like a wood pecker than a robin. If you'll pm TOP (Lary Ellis), he found a sure cure for the one that was working on his metal gutters in the early a.m.

Get one of those mouse glue boards and put it down where he is leaving the poo by your door and see what happens...

Robins are territorial and will try to drive off other robins. In my yard I see them fighting for their space. I’ll bet the reflection in the glass causes the attack.

Are you talking about that pic of Hoss? I know one of the Admins has that pic, I think it's Lary.

Lary's solution involved a Ghillie suit.

I think the pic of Hoss will work just as well though.
