You're not going to believe me. The noise I've been chasing was the front wheel unit bearings. We determined last week the RF was bad. I was tearing it down today and found the LF was about to crap out as well. It had gotten stiff and hard to turn. I hate buying Chinese parts but funds are tight. The best price I had found was $376 but O'Reilly has a house brand for $232. I'm going to give them a try. It was good timing in some respects. The front pads were so thin you could see the glue on the backs.

Not that soggy one..
Hub bearing replacement sucks.. Did you get it off yet?
Also, I replaced my left side at 90,000 miles. Been using the grease through the abs sensor trick on both with great success. Still on my original right with over 150,000

I'm down to the point of knocking the bearing assembly out. I had the rotors turned this afternoon so as soon as it warms up a bit in the morning I'll have at it. I forgot about adding grease to them. Do you have a link saved for that thread that you could share?

Evening Roughians. Expecting some snow tomorrow morning here. Got a nice cold rain tonight but we might get some flurries/rain tomorrow. The good weather is gone now, winter is definately around the corner. Looked out at the Big Lake today while at work, lots of big waves with the north wind we had. The ore boat I saw going into the steel mill next door didn't look like it would be pleasant to be on with the choppy water.
Fence project at work is moving pretty smooth, got interupted a few times but the chain link and barbed wire are down and rolled up. Gonna start pullin posts monday if the weather is cruddy tomorrow.
Went over to mom and dads for dinner tonight. Mom made her beef stroganoff with homemade noodles and it was good! Think the wife and I are gonna go to Outback friday night for dinner, we have a gift card for there and we haven't been there in a longtime.
