Air Suspensions - Anyone Running One?
Like the title says, anyone running a full air suspensions on their vehicles? I've been thinking about getting one of those Air Ride setups for the dodge. Still full hauling and towing capacity, and should be a nicer ride too. Not to mention I have a broken coil up front and a saggy spring in the back, I may as well upgrade.
What I want to know is anyone running one on their vehicles they drive year round? Preferably in colder climates. I really don't want to have to mess with sticking valves in the winter time, or frozen compressor, what have you.
Looking at something like this.

Would probably use their front setup as well. $2k for compressor tank/valves, I might be able to source something cheaper locally though.

Theres the front end. I'd be doing all four corners. I'd just like to hear about some daily drivers in colder climates, be a 1-ton or a little import car, as long as its a daily.

you would have to use an air dryer like a Bendix type or alcohol evap system (about $80 at Traction HD parts) just fill the system up with air line anti freeze in the fall and your set..
This is great news about the front end kit,. i thought for sure it was going to be custom work.

For the shock upgrade on that page.. Standard Gas, Single Aluminium Adjustable or Double Aluminium Adjustable... they get pretty expensive... also whats the life span of those bags? They replace the front coil spring correct?

I saw the prices on the shocks and laughed. Theres not a lot of travel in the back, so I think I'll be ok with my Bilsteins, unless they relocate them in the rear.
The front springs are replaced (thankfully, driverside coil is broke anyway). No idea on the life span.

I justed to bag mini trucks all the time we would put a little anti-freeze in the air tank after a few air cycles the anti-freeze would circulate though out the system and also lube the air valves so it was a win win
