Ah...thats not suspension
A couple of weekends ago one of my buddies calls me up and says he (and his frat buddies) need "a big truck". So of course I asked why, he informed me that they had got a couple of vehicles stuck. Being the nice guy that I am I said I would come pull them out. When I get there I notice that some genious has tried to drive his neon through about 2 feet of standing water . They had then gotten a jeep stuck as well trying to pull out the neon.
I pulled the jeep out without any problems, but the neon....
I had told them when I got there that they were hooking up, I wasn't getting out of the truck. I hear someone ask what they hooked the chain to on the neon, and they tell him it is part of the suspension. Sounded a little suspecious to me , but whatever! I start to pull, and I just feel the chain tighten and then nothing. Something had broken ! They pick it up, and none of them know what it is, so they just throw it aside and tell me to back up so they can hook up again....
They aren't having any luck finding anything to hook to, so I finally get my boots out and go back to help out. As I walk back I notice the piece they had tossed aside. After examining it I realize what it is. They had hooked the chain to the gas tank filler tube !
I had them hook up the chain again, and I got him out of the mess. You think he learned anything from this???
