The big bonus is that we get to do our job a lot more.

Going to submit my package for Limited Duty Officer this year. I like being a Sonar Tech but am ready for a change of pace.
That sounds like great duty! I was on a destroyer for 2 years. YIKES! Drills everyday at sea. I was a machinery repairman 2nd class, but damage control was my calling.

I was working in MODs until Jun. Now I'm at Mountain Home and bought my truck shortly after getting here. Much better prices.

Haven't seen the sand crabs but plenty of coconut and hermit crabs. That Japanese guy I believe was SGT Yokoi. Click here for more info on him.

Just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone from the center of Iraq. I have really enjoyed reading the forums. I have learned a ton about diesels from the post everyone has on the site. Thanks everyone!
I am currently stationed around a very little hot spot in the nothern region of Iraq. It's somewhere between Kirkuk and Baji...
I have 21 years of service in the Army National Guard the last 18 months deployed to Iraq. I am the Platoon Sergeant for the 1-163 In Bn, Cav Scout Plt.
It's been a long and stressfull year for my joes and me. 41 IED's to date and No serious injuries. THANK GOD, and some great people building M-1114's.
I can tell you all, my men and I have all been hit with IED's that should have killed everyone in the truck and we have all made it. They are the best thing out there for saving soldiers lives. Keep up the good work.
I hope to be homeward bound soon and really look forward to putting some time in with the family and some travel miles on my truck.(and some bombs that i have on the shelf) Thanks again for the Info.

HERMIT CRABS! Thats them. Wait till they get the urge to mate! You can't drive anywhere! They cover the road and you have to crush them to get anywhere. Its like driving on ice! ewwww!

Thats the Jap guy! I guess it was a year before I got there, but that is him for sure! Pretty crazy stuff. Do you do any diving in the area?
