94 2500 Gas Dodge Reg Cab LB Auto 4x4

Ok this guy has a truck for sale. $1300. What would I need to do a gas to diesel conversion? He has a 97 4x4 cab-and-chassis 3500 with a NV4500 that had a diesel. His dad buys and sell junk so I can probably get stuff cheap. Some questions are:

Is the front axles the same?
I know the front suspension need to be changed. Will the 3500's fit?
Is the C&C the same wheel length as a 2500 Reg Cab LB (Thinking driveshafts)?
Will the fuel tanks need to be changed?
Steering components?
Where to get a flywheel for the tranny?
Anything else?

Thanks for the help!

the front axle is the same. i beleive some years the gasser rear axle was a dana 60 instead of 70. 2500/3500 front springs are the same, but the diesel/V-10 springs were stiffer than the V8 springs.

There are also Light duty 2500's too. My 95 2500 was a gasser and it had a dana 44 front and a Chrysler 9 1/4 rear end.

Put the VE Cummins in it, the NV4500, clean it up, drive it for awhile, then trade it in on a 3rd Gen.

He said I could get the NV, springs and intercooler out of the parts truck for $350 He said the company where he bought it from said 3rd gear was grinding. Anyone know how hard it is to rebuild a NV4500?

Thanks guys! Also note that the VE Cummins does not put out too much ponies and tq compared to the P-pumps.

Check the GVW on the door , I would bet that it is not an 8800lb GVW, it will be the " light duty" 2500 , it has smaller axles as mentioned, but it still has 8 bolt WMS , it's essentially a half ton.
