87 Shelby Daytona Charger

Looking at getting one of these to drive back and forth to work to save alittle money on gas. It is a 87 with 86,000 miles runs good and is cheap but the interior needs a good cleaning. Has anyone had one of these and if so what kind of problems can I expect to have with it. I have wanted one since they came out.

I had one way back in 87 and it was a piece of junk. It was in the shop at least once a month for one thing or another. When it was running, it was very fast and fun to drive though... You can pick them up pretty cheap these days...

The main issue was that the clutch was real jerky whenever you shifted. It was really irritating. They wouldn't put a new one in but just kept adjusting this and that. Nothing worked and I was too young and dumb to do anything about it so I traded it in on an Isuzu. Great car.....

This one is an auto and I found out last night its not a charger but it is a Daytona Shelby Turbo Z. I have a friend with a daytona in a junkyard with the 5 speed. Is it possible to change the trannys out?
