'82 yamaha virago
i recently bought a 82 virago 750 for 100 bucks. after rebuilding the carbs, it now runs fine, or ran fine for a little bit. now if the petcock for the front cylinder carb is set to run, it makes a squeeking noise and runs itself out of fuel. if the petcock is set to prime, it still squeeks but is able to get fuel. i know its a problem with the vacuum for that carb, but it not due to any of the vacuum lines. could the diaphram be leaking or not seated properly? would this cause a squeeking sound? thanx for any help, and don't make fun of the bike, if you can help it. its my first bike and i only have about $250 in it.

You can buy the FSM on CD for less than 20 bucks on ebay.That should be your next purchase.Be careful that you don't end up with the Clymer book because some of the vendors will scam you by not telling you what you are getting.Many of the vendors will allow you to download the files so you don't have to wait for the mail.Ron G
