And Cobra was awesome. I loved that old mercury Stallone drove in that one. What was Blue Thunder though? Sounds familiar, but I can't picture it.
Blue Thunder was with Roy Scheider (Sheriff Brody from "Jaws) about a helicopter that had ultra-quiet stealth mode, infrared cameras, spy-microphones: basically everything Big Brother could use to keep watch over the little guy (that was the thrust of the movie). Malcolm Mc Dowell played the villain. Great dogfight at the end.
Did it spin off on TV into AirWolf?

I don't think that Airwolf had much if anything to do with Blue Thunder. BT was 1983, Airwolf came on in 1984. According to IMDB Blue Thunder became a TV series in 1984 lasting only one season of 11 episodes. Airwolf lasted 4 seasons, but the last season was worth a heaping pile of dung.

One of my wife's faves is Princess Bride. She's got it on VHS and DVD... I resisted for years, but finally got caught up in it and watched it all the way through- it's actually really good!

Okay, is the just movies made in the 80's or movies that were made in and/or set in the 80's?

Blue Thunder.......that's how I got my first CB handle

Red Dawn......LOL----I had a truck almost exactly like the one in the movie. When the movie was over, it took me 15 min. to get out of the parking lot cause everyone was checkin out my truck.

Short Circuit.....No Johnny 5 disassemble!!

Silent Night Deadly Night.....Anyone remember that??? It was a horror movie where Santa Claus went around killing people. I believe they took it out of the theaters after just a few days.

Lone Wolf McQuade.....I've always wanted a blower with an On/Off switch.

BTW, the best Steven Segal movie was Executive Desicion....he get's killed in the first 10 min.

Gumball Rally....not sure if that was 70's or 80's

Favorite TV shows were The Fall Guy (Heather Thomas...yum yum) and The Dukes of Hazzard.
