'62 Caddy restoration
Working on daughters pink (actually kind of a coral)'62 Caddy. Having water pump problems in that the replacement pump is too short. It appears that there were multiple configurations involved. The numbers match so the engine hasn't been swapped. The water pump has a cast outlet going to each head and to each side of the block. It's heavy (35 lbs or so) and bulky. Had a hassle getting the new one and then to find out it was wrong had me ratherbent out of shape. I now know there is no Quebecian equivlent of y'all and our really mad and bent out of shape means having too much to drink up yonder.
Supposedly the engine is a 390. Understand that there was a 425 available. Engine # is 62B157556, body(VIN?) # is 62-6339 Body FW 2xxxx.
I realize this topic is not about diesels. For those of you that have a problem with it, complain to the goofball fair weather scooter rider outside of DC ;D

Re:'62 Caddy restoration
If you havent allready returned the core Napa used to offer a rebuild service on your pump if it was a oddball or whatever. They would send into rayloc and get a repair quote before working on.
