1977 Trans Am patch panels

....

Did I screw up....I should of picked up patch panels 5 years ago, when they where still available in Canada...Now I'm finding the patchs panels are dis-continued for the the 77 to 81 firebirds..I need the patch panels for the lower front fenders.

Year one has them....Classic Industries doesn't...NPD also doesn't have them..

Besides Year One....Is there any other companies in the USA that have fender patch panels for the 77 Firebird?

Alot of parts for the older fire chickens...

My first thought was Year One. I bought a lot from them years ago for an 81 firechicken! If they still have them you better get what you can now

Thanks....I finally found Year One phone number...Got to check...I guess their shipping costs are crazy...From the reveiws, the shipping costs are the same cost as the item..

I should learn how to use my metal Shrinker and Stretcher tool and build my own panels...

For sure....I have a mailbox in Sweetgrass...which I have stuff shipped from the US...But what I'm reading, the shipping from year one is very expensive even in the US...But....first I have to call Year One and confirm the shipping to sweetgrass...Can't believe everything a person reads on the internet..

No...There is a shipping outlet in sweetgrass...It's met for Canadians to pick their stuff at the border...They charge a small handling fee for this service...When ordering you use there address...

Found Goodmark have these panels....Five years ago,the panels where $30 a side....Now they are $80 each...Now that's heavy inflation for something built in Tiawan...

I was looking at that today...There is a couple of weird bends on these lower fenders...I may have to take a shot on building them...

I found fender patch panels for Camaro (70-81) for $30 each...But they are different..

Man it is too bad you aren't closer, I have a 90 percent complete 77-78 Trans Am front clip with brand new fenders setting in my shop. Always figured I would find a 70-81 hit in the front and build a 70-73 clone car......... Getting too old for that to be a reality.

Tell me about...I had way more energy 10 years ago......But I started this project 7 years ago....And now I have to finish it....It's like pulling teeth right now......It's pretty much worthless the way it sits..

But I did find fender patch panels....Of all places....Rock Auto has them...Even with shipping to Calgary, still works out cheaper than here..Found a fellow here...But he wants $100 a side plus shipping from BC...Rock Auto is $54 each...With shipping, even to Calgary,it's still works out to be about $75 cheaper...I hope they will ship US post...and not UPS....Seen some guys get nailed hard on brokage fees...

I bought the 77 TA in 1984...It was the best car I've ever owned..Handles and rides like a dream..And got 21 MPG at 70 MPH..

Had a 75 TA(4-speed) before the 77...The 75, for some reason didn't handle or ride as nice...The mileage was 14 MPG and it had tall highway gears..

Kind of miss the 75...It was a nice car in white with blue bird..But couldn't have bought..

The so called firebird belly button car, sure have increased in price in the last 20 years...

I did check on their website...They have the complete fenders, but not the repair patchs...I think, since they started to reproduce the TA fender, the repair patch is being dis-contuined..I could see the reason...Not many people do there own body work...And the price of a repair almost comes out as the same price of just replacing it...Except guys like me that could do this type of sheet metal repairs..
