1-ton diesel NASCAR!
Well, what do you all think? Instead of racing little 2,000 pound pick-ups around the track (a la Craftsman Truck Series) you race 8,000 pound, diesel burning duallies around the track at 160 miles per hour!!! You make the races a little bit shorter, like 300 miles, and don't let anybody sit in the first 20 rows for safety reasons. But I think it would be awsome! Pit stops would be intresting as you have to change more tires, crashes would be insane and when they go "three-wide" it really makes you look!
Just a thought. I'd like to see the Craftsman series be made intresting, though.

I've often thought that the "truck" series was a joke.
How do they sleep at night calling those trucks?
They're just nascar cars with fake fiberglass truck bodies on them.
Get "real" trucks out there racing.
Cross bed tool boxes, couple of blocks of wood, spare tire, jumper cables, chains and maybe a mattress and box springs in the bed.
That would be truck racing.

I think it could be cool. They'd have to have a smoke opacity limit for safety reasons, get 43 diesels owned by DTR members out there wide open and only the leader would be able to see. They could open it up to Dodge, Chevy and Ford. Make 'em run a stock long block, but allow whatever you want for turbos, injectors, and fuelling programs - as long as it passes the opacity test. I'd pay to see that.
