Heidi, she got a short cast Wednesday and is a much happier girl now. Me, I guess it was just my day in the barrel. You know what they say, no good deed goes unpunished. I had to do some work at the church the night before, pretty physical. I guess that's what kicked it loose.

Don't worry, when I get your addy, you'll get one too...
Wish I had that problem...
You're welcome, as always...
Ok, I'm done busting everyone's chops. Almost hit about a 300 pound (+/-) hog on the way to the kids baseball games, I would have got him, but I could tell he was domesticated. Didn't want some poor family around here to starve to death. I saw him in the same spot on the way home, and thought about roping him, but it's hard to rope a hog. I'm probably a little rusty, too. On that note, don't ever rope a deer. It does not have a happy ending.
Weather is nice here, 82* right now. Kids are outside playing in the sprinlkers, and the wife has a friend over. I'm about to have to go pull baby duty so she can gab.
Later! Stay safe out there.

Had a good afternoon today. Got my tow hook extenders installed, it was a PITR! I love them tho. I had to drill out the stock tow hooks, and let me tell you what, that is some hard steel. Had to go to lowes to get a real drill bit, still took me 15-20 minutes per hole. Here's some pics...

MadHat....Man wearing shorts, sleeveless shirt, no safety goggles while drilling metal, sorry but that is not to bright. On my construction site I would have pulled your plug an sent you packing, if OSHA saw that on my site I could be find thousands of dollars. Please use a little sense while doing that kind of work.

I was waiting for that...
I started off with gogles, but the metal was not flying at all, so I took the freaking things off. Believe me, I use PPE when it is warrented. (I know, I know... I should have had it on...)
Glad you have not see some of the other stuff I have done. I was doing a gate a few weeks ago, and I had on good PPE, gogles, ear pro, gloves, and a chunk of metal flew off and hit me in the grape. Glad I had that crap on...

LOL I was gonna say something about a hardhat too, But......
I know it seems like overkill, but it only takes one time to wish you did. Up here getting hurt can be life threatening considering the distance we have to travel for help, maybe that's why we are more aware of it. At my house I call the neighbor anytime I climb a ladder or go out in the woods to cut wood, or anything where I could get hurt. I tell them what I'm doing and where an how long I plan on being there, and if I don't call when I say I will they come to check on me. Since I live out in the woods by myself its the safest thing I can do, if I were to get hurt I could lay there for days before someone found me. Had a guy up the river last week cut his leg with a chain saw, bled to death in his own yard, sure he's been doing it for years an the one time he doesn't he loses his life. daughter hadn't heard from him in two days, calls the troopers, they go out to check and find him frozen solid leaning up against his wood pile. Please be safe everyone....

Even more
My best friend pulled up this afternoon with the group he was driving to prom with so he could grab his car duster (I have his car while he has my truck), and I guess he knew I needed to see my truck within a 24 hour period. It felt weird, me dusting my truck off while he's driving. This was also the first time I have got to hear my truck with the dump open at distance at driving rpm. Sounded like one of the tanker trucks (Macks) out on the road. He gets out of after prom at 6am so I'll have my truck early in the morning and I'll be back on the road sometime before noon headed back to school.
