I have heard the word American sound like Merkin when spoken with a drawl.
Kinda made sense to me that way.
The other definition...
Hey Bark...
I run slow but steady. Still going and going and going and going

Anyone watch Made in America with Larry the Cable guy???
Ive watched a few of his episodes and the more I pay attention to it the more confused I get. I cant figure out if he is really good at acting dumb, or if he really has the mental capacity of a brain damaged chimpanzee...

Yeah, pretty weird stuff but at least we know what to do with the clippings from the janitors next back mowing. All we need now is some sort of merkin making machine.
Sigh...thats why I cant drink any beer to close to bed time anymore.
So I hear. About 30 years ago my wife said I needed to be more understanding. I still dont know what she means

Yikes! No way. If I did that I wouldnt even make it out of bed. Wife sometimes complains about my snoring. That would really give her something to complain about.

Smelled this place before I even logged on........
Busy weekend and it carried over to Monday as well. Wife's birthday was today and being as yesterday was a State holiday we were both off so we let the kids play bookie from school and had a nice family day. Went to the hotsprings and then sledding. Lots of fun.
Today I finished the last of he repairs needed on the 4-wheeler from last fall's hunting trip. 'Bout time.
Gonna watch a movie with the kids then hit the rack.

Dont forget..."ewe" started this weeks downward spiral to debauchery. I know, it would have wound up there anyway but its nice to have someone to blame.
Last time I was at the hotsprings was in Jan of 73. I had driven my 65 Plymouth up from Anch to visit my brother at the University. It was night and was so cold that even though I left the car running while we were soaking, the gear oil in the rear end froze up so only one tire would spin. We got dragged around by a grader until both tires would go. Had to spend a fortune (like 20 bucks) in Fairbanks to get some lighter lube put in.

1870 - The 15th amendment, guaranteeing the right to vote regardless of race, was passed by the U.S. Congress.

1941 - The German Afrika Korps under General Erwin Rommel began its first offensive against British forces in Libya.
1944 - The U.S. fleet attacked Palau, near the Philippines.
1945 - The U.S.S.R. invaded Austria during World War II.
1946 - The Allies seized 1,000 ***** attempting to revive the **** party in Frankfurt.
1972 - The Eastertide Offensive began when North Vietnamese troops crossed into the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in the northern portion of South Vietnam.
1975 - As the North Vietnamese forces moved toward Saigon South Vietnamese soldiers mob rescue jets in desperation.
1981 - U.S. President Ronald Reagan was shot and wounded in Washington, DC, by John W. Hinckley Jr. Two police officers and Press Secretary James Brady were also wounded.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it a success?
