OK I know where you are going with this BUT.....it is simply a matter of the early bird getting the ladder so to speak

Good Friday morning to you all!!!

Glad to see everyone is feeling chipper this morning,
Today's word ain't no $5 word, it's at least $7.50!!

Often cited as the longest word in the English language, today's word is:

pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

1. A disease gotten from inhalation of diminative particles of silica or quartz.
Pneumono - Lung
Ultra Microscopic - Very small/fine
silico volcano - igneous, silica
coniosis - disease
; Black Lung

Many coal miners and others who work in confined dusty spaces are at risk for pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

I double dog dare ya to find a way to use this word in conversation today!!
Have fun, BSafe and good luck!!

Good Morning Folks

Taking my wife in for her Doc visit today.....she has a touch of pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis and Asthma and C.O.P.D. having grown up here in the coal fields of WV. She grew up playing in the yard as the coal trucks rolled by relentlessly leaving a fine coat of coal dust as they went covering EVERYTHING.

Her Daddy and Granddaddy both had pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis having worked most of their lives in the coal mines.

If I drive down into the coal fields less than an hour from my home and back, the truck is covered in black dust...putting even myself at risk of contracting pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.....

OK Chris..I used it 3 times by just describing life where I live

wow, so glad your wife is taking care! rest, elevate and Prayers sent from NY for a super clean recovery. do what the nice PT people tell you....lol

Bark, so sorry to hear the uncertainty. dastardly disease. here's to stricter controls and patience. not patients.

I absolutely hate Obama/care

Shorty girl, absolute hugs to you. breathe in, breathe out. spend a few hours at a local pet shelter, amazing what it can do for your soul.
(always back to the old line: Jamican me crazy) celebrate YOU.

just love the real, decent folks who pop in here! T raddy= life of the party

sad to say the truth though.....wow. for better (natural gas cleaner ) or worse (way of life gone, job loss).

That's easy. I have pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis due to 10 years of delivering coal and working in the coal yards. It's beginning to catch up with me now and as I get older I can feel more and more of its' effects. Combine the work experience with 40 years of welding and smoking a pipe since I was 14, and I think I'll probably be the new COPD poster boy in a few years.

As per the orders of the MUCH older and wiser sista, I extricated myself from the confines of the hotel and have walked as far as Jake wanted to go today. There is an absolutely lovely sewage treatment plant right behind the junk yard, which accounts for the odoriferous scent. In the other direction there is an abandoned industrial plant of some type or another. Looks like the homeless people that can't get a spot under the bridge next to the hotel use this plant to call their home. I still have to explore the southerly areas around the hotel, maybe they hold yet more wonders!

Last year this conference drew almost 300 people. This year there are about 20 attendees. All due I think to lack of planning or promotion. Sad, but predictable.

On a positive note tho, the hotel is kind of a dive, but they have the best coffee I've had in a while!

Good morning to all - - quite a spread here. Surprised it is still around, however it is still morning up here - - only 7:30 here. Just might have to indulge.

Off for some fishing today - - weather is still nasty and cold, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. We will see what happens - - I will either freeze, contract pneumonia, catch fish or come home with all the above and be skunked. ......

Have a goodurn,

Bob

I am a good candidate for pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis Because of working in and around coal mines and the sand storms in the deserts of Kuwait and Iriaq atv riding the hatfield McCoy trAils
