Wink back fer a bit...

REDLEG....oh man, I just love the people up there! fantastic area too for wildlife or game fishing they tell me... was up beginning of October. would love to go back and just AMAZED at what the Life Saving Service could do at the points all along the Great Lakes...PM me for some stories and pics.

IJOBB...the 'mountains' are the 2500 or so feet of the Adirondaks behind my property. Hard to say mountains when we have been out to nevada/California and the Sierra Madre ranges...5000-11,000 feet.

Pic below is for all you fisher types, salmon started and boy are they flying this year, walk in and wrestle 'em ......

Got TWO tickets in Chicago for parking the pick up truck and trailer next to a museum. no signs, paid both meters, nothing sticking out. 250 dollar fines each for 'parking commercial vechicle in business street' kinda dampered the whole day...wrote out my big excuse, looked up the laws, called city streets for proper signage (none, have to live here to know that) dropped in mail. Find out ON LINE that everything had to be back to them within seven days.
very tiny print of the violation notice, got ya comin' or goin'........I am not happy. SUVs must be exempt...

easy job after errands; make a mark on the wall where I want the speakers for that 'movie theater sound' for the husband to wire up (good electrician).
I can handle that.....have killer headache, going to close both eyes this time..

We've got lots of the little buggers down here old dog. The problem is they're like blue gill, they're so small you need a mess of them to make a meal. We're planting the green fields in the morning. That's always allot of fun.

That's about what it takes. I hunt in Maringo County. We have what's known as "hunter's choice". You can take a buck and a doe or two bucks a day. The season in that county lasts 70 days I believe. You can flat wear out a good set of knives cleaning deer.

ANy of you navy types feel like getting up and helping, the german navy has been pretty uppity. One bizmark down and more on the table. Coffee's ready. Can't believe anybody's sleeping in this time of the year with game in the woods and fish in the rivers.

Heidi, I like to take Kaley up to the lighthouse, walk her down the beach away from the crowd and let her tear around and swim in the lake while I hunt for agates on the beach. Have a nice collection of smooth stones for use when I get a sauna house built. Sometimes you get a nice, smoothed out piece board too from an old dock or ship. I usually go up in september after the summer crowds are gone, but was busy this year. Maybe before the snow flies yet.

Mornin' everyone,

Redleg ... I'd like to give you a hand on them bismarks but I can smell the biscuits and gravy they got cooking down in the lobby of this motel !!

Flying out of Portland later this morning, headed back to California ... it figures, the weather turned real nice for the weekend up here and I coulda got some great hiking done .

I sure feel sorry for the airport security guy who chances to check out my suitcase today .... didn't have much time to do laundry and them work clothes are pretty ripe . (Guess what I get to do when I land ??)

Y'all enjoy your weekend. Catch some fish, shoot some deer and drink some beer .... you worked hard last week and you deserve the fun.

Cheers,
PISTOL

i'm here.

working on truck:
-install infinity bass link
-turbo timer & boost gauge
-redo cup holder light (got blue led)
-put switch in brake controller power line (turn when not used - clicks when not trailer, and too HARD to unplug)

got a GM interior rear view mirror with the lights on the way, prolly won't get here today. i like those mirrors. i have put them in EVERYTHING, they work great in Jeep wranglers, which have crappy interior lighting.

got car washed for $6 by Baseball team (was all $ wife lets me carry)
i got $6 worth of wash, too. guess i will redo it mid-week.

You have to remove some of the larger stones to get to a new batch of gravel to hunt agates.... maybe the lakes aren't loseing water, we're just makeing them wider? Can't get out of paradise without at least one breakfast stop. Best burgers are right there at Mcmillan. Dang it... I can see my Mauser and axle-swap funds getting soaked up by a road trip pretty soon.
