I hate work...

Got the 444 IH tore down waiting on the flywheel to be ground back down to something resembling flat. New clutch on it's way.

Took the wife's rural mail carrier vehicle (99 Honda CRV) down for some needed maintenance. Been using oil and nice puffs of blue out the exhaust when you start it in the morning. I thought it was just trying to intimidate Second Hand Smoke, but it appears to be sick. Pressurized the bore on #2 since it was the worst for a compression check, good news, valves are good, bad news, rings not so good. Popped the pistons out, note to self: It's generally good practice to NOT have the ring gaps lined up. Gee I wonder where all the blow by was coming from???

Waiting on a SQL query to run for some Monday reports.... yeah.

Heidi,
You bet those names are real. Try Onia, Alco, Ink, Twist, Amagon, Poughkeepsie, Booger Hollow, Bodcaw, Ogemaw, and Tyro on for size.
Rainy day here today. Temps dropping to more normal levels. 90 yesterday.

Unhappy Still can't find stuff after the move.

Afternoon all,

Been a long time. Dropped in for some of the

Move to farther NW Houston, zip 77095. Still hot and muggy. Not much chance I will ever get back to Casa Grande unless I go alone.
Being kidlett keeper, and chief cook and bottle washer is not my idea of retirement. I read 5er Bobs post of his travels and I am as happy for him as I can be.
Got most of the stuff we have here unpacked. My wedding ring is missing. Had it off for eye surgery and in a drawer.
Still have our 5er in AZ, rent paid untill middle of May. Not sure when I am going to go back and get it, or sell it.
Wife still working, fuel cost about $75.00 a week with the commute.
She helps the daughter too much don't take care of herself.. Misses meal, medications. and doing school work. Fail 2 of 3 finals and was up till 3 this morning trying to get caught up. Me Helps her too much$$$.
Only fun things I have done is go to see Lucy, the 2.5 million year old fossile of an early human. She was short, built like a fireplug and hairy going by the replica. Hmmm, I might have dated her younger sister in college.
Also took sexy senior trip and took wife, to Goodson Cafe in Tomball, the best chickn fried steak in Texas, and to the Texas Opry Jamboree in Magnoila. Fun, or it would have been stay at home and take care of the kidletts during the house warming daughter had.
There is a town in Texas named Ding Dong. Don't know where it is.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

Woke up early so I can go soak the horses foot and re bandage. Glad it's not 30 below...

Nice to see your getting settled in Davey. Tell the wife she has to take a break, sounds like she's burning the candle at both ends.

Hey Don, you calling the break room a "dive"? Shame on you - - it is more like a MESS hall - - mostly MESS. Oh well, I snuk past the guard and grabbed foo foo - - not too bad. Too bad the OLD DOG had to get up grumpy today - - yelling and carrying on. Totally uncalled for, but at least he turned on the switch.

Got lots done yesterday, back at those honey do's again today - - working that list down. Didn't even make it into the pool yesterday - - bad day when that doesn't happen. OK, heading for the kitchen and make some oatmeal - - hmmm, what flavor today? OK, sounds like cinnamon with dates will win. Grab more on the way out. See ya,

Bob

Morning all! Not calling anybody by name but some old dog sure started howling early this morning. I might have to drop a little sleeping aid in the pot tonight. Project for today, find new blades for the bushhog, replace gearbox mounting bolts and double nut them all. First I've got to get some safety straps in place so I can remove the whole head assembly. Hope my back's ready for the workout.

Mornin, Mornin...
Lots a smoke, no fire... bad fog this morning on the way to work, took me more than an hour to get here. Couple of recks, one moving truck ran off the road and got stuck in a ditch.

Took the afternoon off yesterday and took the kids to a place out in the woods where you can pick your own pumpkin... they had fun.

Back to the grind...

Mad I thought you were a country boy? That place out in the woods is called a FARM I know I'll pay for that one. Good you could spend some quality time with your kids.

Horse is doing good. Swelling went way down since yesterday. Drained lots overnight. Just have to keep doing this for the rest of the week and he should be in good shape.

Well figured I better give a progress report since I have been in hiding for a spell or two. Been super busy trying to get the calf's weaned and fattened of to take to market. The dentist oh boy the dentist yesterday I went though round one of wisdom teeth removal mine were so bad he said it would just be safe to do one side at a time because that way I could get back to work sooner. What happen was they came in completely side ways and pushed in the back of one of my molars an caused a whole to form and then a cavity set in so I got one more trip for the molar and wisdom teeth then one more after that for a root canal and a crown an a few cavitys to fix. Got my new saddle coming I can't wait to have a decent saddle to ride my horse and me will thank my self for finally putting my foot down on that. Oh what else is new I don't think much getting colder been highs of 60sh and lows down around 35sh. Couple more months and I will have to ride up and bring the mama cows home.

Got our first snow last week, made the coffee taste better and finally got to wear some of my cool Cabelas stuff. Then they go and turn the heat up... it'll be about 80 today in Sacto... So much for the Cabelas wear.
