Eye lid relay failed open again, at 0320. Got some coffee in me now so things will be all right. Cups are in the dish washer and any fixin's you need are over by the pot.
Good whittling session yesterday. Not too sore. The exercise is good as long as it ain't all at once. Cut up and split three heaping dump trailer loads. Trailer holds 2 cords. If it doesn't get any colder, daughter in law should have that burned by the end of December. Still got 3-4 more loads to whittle. More coming in next week, limbed and ready to block. Gotta love good neighbors.
Bobcat got into the chickens and took out one of the layers. 'Nother neighbor took out the bobcat while deer hunting.
Got to get up and move around before I stiffen up. Need zerks in all my joints.

They actually do something like that at some of the waste-water treatment plants. The methane collected off of the decomposing sh... (well, you know) is collected and used to operate modified diesel engines which are in turn used to drive the turbo compressors that I work on.

The methane is pretty hard on the heads of these machines and I guess they just swap out heads and probably cylinder sleeves every so many hours of operation.

Keep thinking up ideas Claude .... a buddy of mine needs an underwater wood chipper. (You don't wanna know why ).

there are some places that do that, most dont.

I think a biomass plant would work well here... going out to the rig today, everyone had a fire going in their yard trying to get rid of jungle brush...

Good morning to everyone, including the tea drinkers. When I was a kid in another time and another world, the maid would wake us all up and leave a cup of tea next to the bed.
Another stupendous day here in Paradise. Not a cloud in the blue sky. Still a bit chilly at 52 degrees, but in an hour or so when I go out I will probably have the A/C on in the car. Life is rough down here!

I still think my toilet paper idea would work... y'know, advertising on each sheet of toilet paper. People don't REALLY wanna buy that stuff just to wipe their... well, y'know. But businesses could have it printed up with their name on it an' give it away and people would use it and SEE it ev'ryday. And they're gonna see whatever is printed on it! The strangest business could become a houshold word!

Oh well, no one ever listens to me anyway.

Coffee, ph00 an' tea is ready.

I will second the motion if it means some real changes around here (like maybe a new sock to filter the coffee)

tea really isn't my cup of tea either but every rig I have been on has a tea shack. even if they just have a jug of water and some dirty cups, its the tea shack.

What a cool day !!

I got to spend my Veteran's Day morning taking a tour of the USS Constitution. It's the oldest commissioned Navy warship around (keel laid in 1794 and commissioned in 1797 = 210 years of active service )... and to be quite honest, she's in much better shape than many of the ships that are in regular use today .
I wish I was one of the lucky ones who got to go through Chief's Initiation on this old sailing ship. Talk about some bragging rights.

Got my squaw work done at the laundromat and even squeezed in some job training while I waited. All in all ... a pretty productive day for a Sunday.

Cheers,
PISTOL
