'Huge mill fire'... that's redundant. Think about it. Have you ever been to a small mill fire?

Did you tell him you'd see him in a month or two?

I just saw pics on the news, its not huge but big. However as you so eloquently stated, "it's redundant". No matter, with the thousands of tire they have there he may be there for a while.

I have to type up a couple reports. Ya'll have a good night and a great day tomorrow.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahah.

I can not post what he sent back.

On edit it is a Bandag tire retreading facility.
Oh, even better. It'll take him at least 3 days to quit blowing that black crap out of his nose. "Hey brother, every time you sneeze I think about buying new tires".

I always hated the really big fires. 'Surround and drown'... for hours on end. Probably the most boring thing I can think of in the fire service.

You fire guys earn your pay though. Today it might be tires, tomorrow it might be a tank farm. Long time ago in Texas I was watching them trying to put out a fire at a bottled gas plant. It was surround, drown and duck.

I lived about 2 miles from this fire. There were rivers of "oil' coming from the tires. To the best of my knowledge that property is still declared toxic and is not allowed to be sold.

On February 12, 1990, a tire dump fire erupted in Hagersville, Ontario. It is estimated as few as 3,000,000 and as many as 10,000,000 tires burned for 17 days before being extinguished, despite predictions that the fire would burn for months. 11 different fire departments were eventually involved.

MY SIL lived there and we would visit very often. It is only about a 15 minute drive from where I used to live.

I am very surprised that anybody recognized the name of Hagersville and even more surprised that you know about Simcoe. If you have been up there in the winter, you will understand a little bit why I love it down here in Paradise where I do not have to shovel s-n-o-w.
