Hat Now what did you break off? Some poor recruit's arm or leg? What's his momma gonna say when you send him home for leave like that? If he makes it through the crucible?

More sad news....

I don't know if anyone heard about the family that got hit by lightning near a lake up here. Lost her husband and her unborn child. She's still in ICU. Six people hurt in total. That was on Saturday, day before father's day. Storm blew in real fast and they were standing by trees deciding to leave or not.

Be safe out there.

04 outrun by a squirrel, I would have payed money to see that. Funniest home videos would have too.

See you in the AM for a cup o joe.

Caught one little spritz of liquid sunshine on the scooter the way in this morning. May not be so lucky this afternoon. Oh well, you know what they say. Wait, what do they say, I forgot.

Mornin.

Looks like a nice day here. Prognosticators say it may shower this afternoon.

Dieseldude I remember what THEY said but WHO are THEY.

Rogaine thats cute hehehe. Folically challenged is the politically correct way to discuss Trad's condition.

Have an exceptional day. Have fun and drive safe.

P.S. Coffee was good this AM.

Talking

We`ll I see morning coffee & tea is on,
I didnt get to check in until now ( taking a break)
GOOD MORNING EVERY ONE!!!!!
Chaikwa, forgot to mention there is a fellow up here that makes buggys & carts, (Miller buggy works) just 5 or 6 miles north on me.
Been thinking about what you said about the claink of a chain and a lot of teams are of to the races pulling.
Dont you think thats because they are only used for pulling ?
(Horses love to pull and love to please the person that handles them and cares for them) If thats all they get used for thats part of their conditioning !
In other words owners fault (poor training habbits)
Grandfather had a beautiful team of purcherons , you could hook them ,and be standing off to the side and he would give his comands from there and they would do what he wanted. This team would pull eaven also , neather would slack on the other.

Have to laugh at some of these horse pulls, ive seen a lot of drivers get pulled right off the seat because the team took off before the other guy got them hooked,
(can you imagine a team like that in a 6 horse hook,(what a joke that would be) all in the training !!!!!!
well break is about over , Have a good one
Claude IT`S TEA , Brewed in my favorite sock

I dunno, but I've seen it happen more than once with people that are s'posed to be knowledgable and are well respected in the draft circles, and I'm just not willin' to take a chance. I can get hurt enough workin' in the woods, on my own, I don't need a crazy horse or two to help me along!

i won't RAKING them out the tree, i was glueing them on tight, so i won't have to rake there's a big difference!!!

i DID fall out of a S-10 once.

was standing on fender and radiator support, using a big sledge to drive back the firewall to clearance a V8 distributor.

got done, swung the sledge around behind me, dropped it, and just jumped backwards to get down.

the hammer staying standing perfect up straight.

caught it right on bottom of butt cheek. yyyeeeeeeeeeoooooowwwwaaaa.

My Goodness!!

my buddy looked at me laying on the ground, with my eyes welling up with tears, says
"you need me to do anything?"

i said:
"yeah, i need you to LEAVE, because i am fixin to cry like a little baby...."

WHEW that hurt, it hit, and lift a BIG bruise, then slid up the cheek, and you know rough cut a peice of wood can be? that was how the end was, it HURT.
left big rip bruise up the cheek

it's makin my eyes tear up to remember it....
