Mornin' all,

Houston, might have a warm, sunny week this week according to the weather guessers cloudy chrystal ball.
good.
Dieseldude4x4, be comforatable, they rest of them can deal with it.
Enjoy your vacation. Be comfortable.

Hotdram you can pick up a copy of Mental Floss at your local magazine shop. A fun reading mag.
Chaikwa, gong to get your teeth sharpened?

SR way I cook salmon is over a medium low fire on the grill. If it is a whole salmon I brush the inside with lemon butter. You can put in onion slices, orange or lemon slices, it depended on your taste. Lay it on heavy aluminum foil, a little alder smoke helps, cook until it ls opaque and flakes with a fork, don't over cook it. Fresh wild salmon is best if you can get it. Boiled parsleyd red potatoes, corn bread and you got a meal. Throw away the cedar plank.

Wannabe, have fun at the Coast Guard, what licienses will you be getting?
Have to try the trout grilling with the head on, the daughter freaks when the diner looks at her. In Germany that is how the trout is served.

Logan, good market report. Good for the farmers and the country.

I Jobb, watch out for them tornados good weather comming your way now.

Redleg, looks like the north country will have a bad fire season this year, a big on in Montana. Supposedly the satellites would pick up forest fires.

Madhat, you can still shape up the recruits. Those on probation might be ver resoursefull, and quick thinking. You can hope. Good luck with them.
Have a good un, and be safe out there.

OH MY GOODNESS - - I AM SPEECHLESS ON HOW TO ANSWER THAT ONE. Scott, what kind of mirror do you have - - I want one just like it. in fact, I need one.

Clear and quiet here this morning - - just got back from the retina man. Have a little dry macular starting, but he said it looks great "for my age". Now what the pot is that supposed to mean? And that is not an open question requiring any comments from you bunch of characters.

OK, had my coffee - - no more sprinkles, so I will just go out to the pool and pout a while.

Salmon marinade, my nephew used on some wild salmon that was caught in the Skeena river.

1 cup brown sugar(demerara)
1/4 cup salt
1 tbsp. fresh ground black pepper
1 tbsp. rosemary chopped(fresh preferred)
1 tbsp. garlic chopped(1-2 cloves)
1 tbsp. juniper berries chopped(fresh)

Cut fillets into pieces that you can flip on BBQ
Marinate overnight, BBQ till done Approx 10 min per side.

Very nice day here. Wife is off for two weeks of holidays. Not planning on going to far I don't think, maybe some day trips.

Got to go pick some high bush cranberries for jelly. Already have some black current in jars. Goes good on pancakes/ toast YUMMMY.

Have fun and drive safe.

Man, I must be doing this vacation thing all wrong. Just loaded up $1462.00 worth of pressure treated lumber for a volunteer project I am heading up Friday. I need to go back to work to take a break.
If any of ya's wanna help build a play fort for the kids, bring some tools and show up Friday morning about 07:30. Plenty of coffee and donuts for all.

I think the whole problem here has to do with addition. Let's give this a try...

Lumber plus project equals work~~~bad

Lumber plus volunteer equals work~~~bad

Lumber plus tools plus no mention of plans equals work~~~bad

Show up plus coffee plus donuts equals no work~~~good Yep, that's the problem, your idea of a vacation just doesn't add up.

Dave slinks into the room, sad faced, sorry look on his face, bedraggled for whatever reason.......Wish somebody would fix my alarm clock....Was runnin' late, didn't get my fix this am. Been runnin' behind the power curve all day. After reviewing the submissions this am, I'm almost glad I missed the morning fix. I don't think I could handle the image that is currently chasing through the dusty recesses of this cranium. Perhaps another shot of JB will cure the problem. Dinner is up, later.

Thanks. I usually get some inmates to write letters to my platoon, and tell them that it could be worse...

I'll call you in the am when I get up...

It's been a long one, but it's over. Gonna be another long one tomorrow, too. Got into the triple digits today, and so much humidity that you could see it in the air.
Gotta love PI...
