Been here a bit, just took a little while to wade through the bovine excriment to make it here. Gonna get hotter this week. Been doing a lot of watering. We're wrapping up week two of no rain. Might get a little Thursday they say. Played with the welder most of the weekend, or I should say played with the grinder. Got going on a bumper/reciever on the s10, although it would do any w350 justice.

Morning gang - - all but loudmouth Chris - - wow, what a clod!!!

Been MIA - - tired of all the gouging, sticking, looking, feeling, probing and questions. This yearly routine of the doctors, etc gets old. Oh yeh, forgot - - maybe cause it's because I am getting older. BBOOOOOOO Oh well, it is good to know you are such a gorgeous hunk in wonderful condition and ready to face the world - - for another 36 hours, then look out. Blood letting this morning, then the retina guy, then the - - well, let's not talk about that guy - - and cardio Thursday. Man, will it never end?

Rainey and fireworks down here this morning - - maybe we can catch up on our deficit in wet stuff. By the way, I miss a couple mornings and no one makes my coffee for me???? Boy, I am feelin the love. Hi, Wannebee, good to see ya - - missed ya for a few days. Where is the maid though? Oh well, guess I will go do something destructive - - - I mean constructive. Behave yourselves.

Bob

Mornin all.

Cooled off here this AM, bout time to. Not use to that high20'S or 30* plus for weeks at a time. Still nice just a little cooler.

Farrier reshod the horses yesterday, sure glad we have a good one. Gave him some fire brick that I got from a refractory friend for his forge. Industrial stuff, used inside furnaces, hard as rock shouldn't wear out for a while. Put a smile on his face anyway.

The mandatory PPE for meetings is as follows:
rubber boots so you can hose it off and not track it on the carpet
Slicker coat and pants (don't want to ruin a good shirt and jeans)
gloves (any kind but rubber preferred)
ear plugs so you can't hear whats going on anyway
escape respirator
goggles so it don't fly in your eye
and a scoop shovel so if it gets to deep you can start shoveling

Still have a ringing in my ears from that wakeup this morning.

Like the posters. Good stuff.

Have fun and drive safe.

mustered 0545 this AM in Jacksonville Florida MEPS for my daughter, trying to get into the Navy.

The recruiters basically botched the whole deal, 3 of them involved, bad juju.
i talked a CPO at the MEPS about it several times.
I think he understands that i was not happy.

she was DQ'd from the Navy before lunch because of a stupid star tattoo on her neck (stupid kids)

she was signed up with the Army after lunch, should go to Army boot camp next week or so.

Army has $20k enlistment bonus.

ahhhhmmm, anybody wanna go in with me?

Evenin folks, busy day today.
Had some real hard rain last night.
Here's the good part. The State has a drainage pipe that runs along the back of my garage, about 10 years ago someone extended the pipe.
The problem is that when it got extended, they also reduced it from 24" to 16".
So when it rains real hard, the restiction causes the catch basin to overflow, and then all the water from the street, runs right through my back parking lot which is only gravel because that is where the equipment gets parked.
Then today I discovered a giant sink hole where they reduced the pipe, and it seems whatever coupling, reducer they used is gone. I can see the 24" but I cant see anything but a big hole, and water running to somewhere.
There is still water coming out of the 16", but not like it should be. Spent about an hour on the dozer moving all the dirt that washed out and fixed the driveway with the exception of the hole so that the state can see what is happening.
Been on the phone with a few different people about it, even the head of DOT.
Someone is gonna meet me tomorrow morning to see and hopefully come up with a solution to this problem.

Common sense solution: remove 16" pipe, continue to end with 24" pipe, put some 6" to 12" stone at end of pipe where it dumps out into the woods.
We'll see what they come up with.

uh, i can tell you what the Gub'mint is gonna do:

re-do your taxes after they see how nice your place is, and all the heavy eqpt you have,

then, oh the drainage hole?

they will have a meeting about that, discuss it at town council, then wait a few heavy rains to see what happens....

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.....I'm UP already.

Much to do, not much time, no motivation.
None of it work related.

Sippin' coffee trying to wake up.
Base gate security has decided that my wearing rolled up shirt sleeves, and sneakers is no longer permissable while riding the G-G to work.
Oh well, everybody has to follow the rules,......even me.

Y'all stay safe,

Soooooo were you guys gonna stare at the pot for another hour, or turn it on? Jedi mind tricks don't work when you're awake. Coffee's on now. Suppose to be hotter than yesterday. Left Kaley in the house to keep cooler. Hope she remembers to keep her legs crossed.

Mornin' all,
I'm up, and working on the 1st today
Houston Mostly Cloudy 79°F (26°C) 90;s again with chance of showers,

is on, gurgling hissing ans steamin, Foo-foo is in the pot brewing on the back counter. Looking for the donuts.
SR you sure are up early today, ChriseR must be off today, it is quite.

Shovelhead, have another look at a motovation poster from your collection, and keep the gate guard happy when you blow thru the gate on the G-G.

Richard, guood luck with the drainage problem. Can you get the govmt to pay your bill for the work you did to fix their mess?

The Hat must be working too hard with the new recruits, have not seen much of him. Oh, start PT without me.

Have a good un, and be safe out there.

Morning from the left coast. STILL NOT 0500 here....time zones. Over the hump for the work week. Gotta go work on some fire alarm systems in the refinery admin building.....This could be fun, no up-to-date prints.....I can hear the alarms ringing already. I may or may not have a job at the end of the day.....If security and fire are told, they'll know not to respond? Count on somebody not getting the word....
Davey--be glad you're not driving Highway 20 to Anacortes, they've got the lanes choked down for repaving...Almost an hour to get from Shell to Bay View Road...LaConner sure was faster yesterday... And today too.

Time to go wake up my world...Be safe

NOW you know what I have to deal with 'round here~!

Met a MI trooper on Saturday at an event we were at. Real nice guy, assigned to the Wyoming Post, forget his name. Kinda ticked me a bit tho, that our lovely guv'nor has to close posts and lay off Troopers, yet the money got found for 9 brand new Charger cruisers~! I think it's great the guys can have a state-of-the-art cruiser, but I think it'd be even better if everyone got their jobs back first!

Ok, rant over! Coffee's good, breakfast is kinda lackin' tho!

chaikwa.
