Happy day after - - some great fireworks on TV and local last night. Sure grateful to be an American.

Great day out - - 89 for a high but high humidity. But, need that moisture to bring the rains - - stuff is growing like crazee but our streams and lakes are still low. Need some of that stuff from Texas and Kansas - - NOTE: I said "SOME", just some, not as much as they have had - - wow.

OK, I be gone - - I hear the pool calling - - have a great day.

Light Rain 72°F (22°C) cool in Houston for the 5 of July.
good again this morning, time to fix some breakfast. Have a couple of extra kidletts, Son and his 2 daughters are here. Glad they can be with us.

Hat, congratulations on winning the drill and other awards. Way to go. Our son in the army was telling us about basic training and his drill sargents. He has hight respect and admiration for all of them.

Shovelhead, nice pix, most times things don't work out as planned. Sorry to hear your vacation is one of those things.

Rough-n-Ready

Hello all, Hope everyone had a great 4th holiday!

Have all week off work, was planning on going on the mountain camping but last friday a cousin of mine passed away (cancer) and had to attend funeral and spend time with family early this week. I did get to see some family that I don't see very often though. Why is it that often times we only talk to distant family and friends at funerals? Have to find a way to remedy that!

I guess I'll take some time off next week and take wife and kids on the mountain and out of this terrible heat. You guys from Texas and Kansas should send a little of that rain out west. We are having a terrible hot dry spell lately. It's pretty dry around here for this early in the summer, already have one wildfire going on in eastern Ut. that they are talking may burn till Fall. (that should make Elk hunting in that area very fun in a couple years)

I should spend the rest of the week getting caught up on Honey-do's and get back in the wife's good graces since I spent most of the weekend cleaning and working on my truck.

priority is get rid of the remaining dog stuff in the barn and get the boat in the water on the 20th.
laundry, housecleaning, and good to go- can't see anymore projects cropping up....really need a week off!

Yep, you heard me right, Breakfast time!!!

Okay had to pull out the ol Potato gun,your breakfast is all sealed up in a container.
Pancakes,french toast, sausage and gravy,bacon, eggs,bisquits,chocolate,strawberry shortcake,omelets,BLT's.

Coffee,tea,milk

There are still some food on the counter so enjoy and have a good'n!

Bit of a mishap with the coffee, fresh pot is on, counter is really clean now. New uncle as of yesterday. Sister had her 2nd via planned C-section. Brandon Rocco. He's a third time with Rocco as a middle. Been helping watch dogs and put up a cieling fan (and new mount) in the baby room. Dad's not so mechanically inclined just yet (needs to learn to fish too). Still working on a dog kennel in her back yard. Then back to my own chores.

Mornin... Coffee's ok. Good morning this morning. We're on the down hill slope. Grad is next friday, and I'm taking a week off. Then it's back to the grind.

Gonna go find some new rubber for my truck. Lookin at some M/T's.

Good Lord, I take a few days off the the place goes down the tubes. Just made some REAL coffee with the 'good' sock, not that new thing someone threw in there!

So if it was a girl, would you have been an aunt? And what's the kennel for? Is that the northwoods version of a playpen for Brandon?


Jake goes to the vet this AM to get the stitches removed. After that a BIG run is in order for him! Had to keep him 'quiet' for 10 days so as not to rip the stitches... you ever try and keep a 5 month old lab quiet for 10 days?

Truck bed on the tandem bucket truck is almost done. I'll take a few pics when it's finished for any of you that might be interested.

I'm back, the restrooms are clean, the coffee's on and now all is right with the world! Gotta run.
