DTR's Night Watchman & Poet Laureate
Morning guys..
Hat , congrats.. I am guessing this is a competition between the recruit companys?
last child graduated High School Saturday evening. Wow, where does teh time go?
I have a picture of him when he was about 3-4, wearing my riot helmet and Ike Jacket, cant see the little guy anywhere, he's buried in the coat....
picture of him Saturday shows the 6' 4", 281lb monster he has become...wow, how did this happen????(no-one in the family is anywhere near this big, I'll post a pic later)
He has earned a full-ride scholastic scholarship to one of the local community colleges and is talking to his GF about "plans" for after college....
man i am OLD!!! at least feel it right now..........

G'evenin y'all and y'uns,
Just enough time to poke my head in the breakroom and see who's making all the racket in here ... sounds like a party goin on.
Me and #3 son spent the day repairing the wrap-around deck ... whew was there some deterioration !! The boy had a blast helping and wanted to know every little thing about what we were doing. Maybe a future carpenter in the making

home again, very nice to see the planet Scott comes from...
very nice folks up there, got called honey 13 times but could have pushed it to 17 if i could just understand that she was asking me if i wanted 'sour cream' ; I thought she asked if I wanted celery. I probably looked like Jake with his ears up and head tilted (aroo?) that accent is worse when the gals speak...all Scott's friends were decent folks who even admitted to knowing and liking him. great fire and police dept and the food is really out of this world fresh! all my stress is gone now so I think I can function when back at work ( in four hours)...THANKS AGAIN, what an amazing multi-talented PITA Scott is my pal.

Thanks! When ever we win somthing, the whole platoon and the DI's have to be tested for drugs. Especially after that blowout that we won by yesterday...
We all put a sample in the cup and send it off for testing.
Got harrassed by some belligerant Cpl at the gate this morning for my truck. I did not have time to counsel him on the spot for his attitude, cause I was on a time hack, but he'll be getting a call from me later, and probably a visit, too. I'm going to give him flashbacks from bootcamp...

Morning, still a little drizzly, but that's a good thing. If it keeps up, I'll have a double canopy jungle the way my pines are sprouting. Might have found a donor grand cherokee for my s10 project. Also gonna pick up tanks for my new torch this week. Anybody want to contribute to my wire welder fund, just send me a PM.

Funny, I was thinkin' the same thing about how you get your recruits to do anything!
Now isn't that a fine lesson in trust... work beyond HARD 18 hours a day, do everything you're told by people that scream at you incessantly, achieve an important objective obtained in accordance with the afore-mentioned hard work and training, and what is the reward? They drug test you because certainly there's no way you coulda got to your goal without the assistance of drugs!

Don, Got the flairs painted and on my truck , Man does it look good.
Now i can drive it, wouldnt drive it with out them because didnt want stone chips in new paint on truck.
Ill take a pict and post it when it stops raining .
Hey rember your welcome to come over and use my wire welder , (I still havent bout argon tank yet though)
What year grand cherokee is your doner? is the rear end any good, and what gear rato is it? rember i need a rearend for my grand cherokee.
