Chris, .308 winchester is actually 7.62x51. Little bigger than the 7.62x39 so it won't fit. Good deed he did for you but got the wrong box o bullets. Go find a friend with a rifle chambered in .308 win and ask if you can borrow it. It's fun shooting that round, I like it alot. probably a little more kick than the 7.62x39 but not near as much as a 30-06 or a .300 win mag.

I miss read the post. I picked up Remington Core-Lokt soft point ammo, i think its 19.99 a box. I usually pick up a box when i got to BP or Cabelas just beacuse its fairly cheap. Sometimes i pickup the Hornady rounds, little more money but they shoot nice. I'm looking to start reloading my own brass since I do like to shoot often.
