Hey Davey - - the weather has been super - - but you know what - - those that don't have get jealous and try to make life miserable for those that have. Those Yankees are sending their mess down our way starting later today - - heading down down down - - YUK. The front moved thru last night - - drizzling out there and going down to about 50 tonight and in the 30's Thursday night. You are right on the To Do list - - been really knocking out that stuff. Put away the decorations today and get back to normal.

Looks like everyone is sleeping in today - - bunch of wimps. OK, I washed out the filthy pots, cleaned up the counters, washed cups, renewed the sugar in the bowl, put out some home made zuccinni bread, made both the jizzy stuff and foo foo, flushed the toilet (man, how hard is it to flush the toilet?? ), I have grabbed a cup and heading out to get going on getting back to normal.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Yup, plowing. There wasn't a lot of it when I started, but as soon as I got half the place cleaned up, it started snowin' again. Power went out again last nite too. Didn't get it back 'til about an hour ago.

Hope ev'ryone made it back in one piece from their festivities last nite. I went to bed early and didn't even see the ball drop. Oh well.

Happy New Year ev'ryone, talk to y'all later.

Mornin and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone.

Well it's been a long time since the wife and I stayed up to see the new year in. Very nice just the two of us sitting at home watching the tube. Hope 2008 is a good one for everyone and for DTR.

Lightly snowing here and is finally accumulating enough that I'll have to plow and shovel around the place. Low clouds so no sun poking through. Temps are dropping for the next couple of days but by mid week suppose to be back up.

Bob sorry to hear that your going to get some off weather. Sounds like you don't have to worry about the AC over taxing itself for a few days. Cover the tomatas so they don't freeze.

Better get after that snow clearing. Drive safe. Later...

Nooner all,m

Coooool, 50's in NW Houston, but sunny. Wife and daughter are in shopping therapy mode. Gone for the day. Army son, put one daughter back on plane to Seattle, and headed back to Killeen with wife and others kidletts, then he goes back to El Paso, Ft Bliss.
Since we are out of Houston, the fireworks were a good show. Lots of sky rockets with great colors and big booms. Started before dark and went untill about 0100. We watched the ball drop. Dick Clark still haning in there.
Best wishes to all for a happy and prosperous New Year. May the Force be with you, and all the good wishes.

Cool Back from society....no voice though

went to a old place with new owners, in between two villages. sheriff's parked right across the street in days past.

nice and clean, well organized and ended up being in great company of friends and those you haven't met yet. every age 70s to 20s and the one 70 ish gal danced way better than me. did a slow nurse job on one vodka tonic with two limes the first four hours; filled with laughter and great FREE food and drink (would have been fun Scott!) shrimp, meatballs, chicken...wow. ten bucks at the door for friends and the hubby, I didn't have to pay and only did one set of 'rock star', so I feel kinda guilty at all the freebies... great when any type of musicians can play together outta love for music. a lot of closed eyes to feel the music when we played (no, not from bad sound) I was in 'classic rock' and did one lead and four backups
(back up is better cause you have to pay more attention, harmonize and follow their lead into a little jazzed up introduction) funny for such a law enforcement background, I started out with music major and was in a touring band. then disco came
lot of cell phone pics; if i get tech help to recover them, i will post one.

my fingers bled, my voice is gone, I left at 3:00 and they were still playing for ten people or so...Gosh what a great time!!! it really did feel like a family reunion- EVERYONE was so decent and friendly. out of 100 people we might have seen 2 young females needing directional help....not sure about the 20s girls with bouncing up and down in place at a very fast pace, never even jarred their drinks- is this dancing now??!

not into bars, I went for the opportunity and loved it. had a great time with friends and that's what this is all about. good reflection, promises not to be a jerk, and thoughts of how many people have touched my life. THANK YOU DTR

Heidi going back to fixing an electric motor, out.

If they haven't sprouted by now, then the composting is probably keeping him nice and warm.

Back at it til 11. Had a few bad drivers last night, not too bad. Most of the pro's plan ahead for this one. It's the Christmas parties where a lot of people that don't normally go out to party that keep us busy.

Go Blue! M

At least for today...

Happy New Year, Y'all.
Nice quiet night, until the clown about a mile over, lit off his 24" bore acetylene/oxygen cannon. Lots of blue light spotted through the trees about 10 minutes later. That sucker will rattle some windows.
Sitting back having a little nip of Crown. The Busch just wasn't warming me up. Back hurts from getting main power into the daughters place. 3/0 is a pain. May have to get another snort. That stuff is pretty good
Anybody know anything about electric windows? The window keeps popping out of the clips that hold it onto the lifting mechanism. New clips maybe?
Better get out and finish winterizing a few things. Low 20's expected tonight and mid teens tomorrow night.
I don't want to go to work tomorrow.
