DW's preparing a venison roast for dinner tomorrow, hot off the grill.

My son's 94 Mercedes grill that is.

Was a fawn, been in the cooler 8 days. Ate some round steak last night, cut with the side of my fork. Gonna cut wrap, and freeze the rest of it tonight.

 

Finally getting after corn. It's still wet but we're getting it out of the field.

Started pulling the loom and tape off the wiring harness in the Dodge, started by pulling the batteries. I don't think I'd have the truck if i had to go another half mile to get off the highway.

Going to take a battery up and see if I can't get something done with the 1/2 ton. With the number of wires in that harness it may still be getting worked on a year from now. And if there's a problem in the cab I'm going to declare defeat for sure. Don't even want to get into that mess.

 

Thought of the day, let's take the 1/2 ton and pull the trailer to the shop, 5 minute hook and go. Until I realized that the po had decided to hack a 4 pin flat into the 7 pin harness, instead of buying a 6 dollar adapter. Wanna see something that looks like a pastel Jimi Hendrix? Anyway.

So slightly more than 5 minutes later, all systems go.

At least I didn't get to half the stuff I needed to today. That is what tomorrow is for. Have fun.
