Secondary roads are just that, secondary priority and it helps little if their end isn't passable.
I just attempted to just use the front loader. I got just far enough so that the county plows won't bury the drive IF they get here before it melts. The news said that KY National Guard is deployed in my area to assist. I'm all good here, house is warm, extra can of coffee, plenty of grub. Lot's of folks stranded on the roads since last night and expect them to be there for some time. I really don't expect the plows to even be able to make it up the hill to me.

On the shoes, I always preferred bear paws. Wish I still had a set. Would love to go down in my bottom near the spring and check out tracks! We've been having lots of bobcats move into the area.

Perfect! The only problem I see is the only dog available is a Long Hair Chihuahua mix about 10 inches tall, if that. I might HAVE to have DW Gee and Haw!

For giggles, I dropped the blade off the 4 wheeler. Made it about 2 feet before I high centered.

Thanks for the soup mom. Made that horse choker pill I have to swallow more palatable.
Right at freezing and more dense fog. The Ididarod start has been moved to Fairbanks due to a lack of snow further south. Even there they are having to snake the route around to find enough snow to run on.

Yes...dangerous situation as they do not show up on my mine detector...that means crawling on my belly and carefully probing in the dirt with a bayonet to locate them for removal...it is those durn Bouncing Betty's that have me concerned

Bob Bob Bob!
What's with all the protection devices being planted?
Is your Speedo too tight?
I have a story about IUD's but I know for sure its not for this site.
My Elder Twin seems to have a strange accumulation of assorted impaled protection devices on his bayonets.

O K Y
I'm outta here.
Be safe folks. We've got plenty of warmth heading our way now!

Then why was I puffing so hard this morning????? Oh yeah, I got it now. I Ain't so young anymore

I've been on the phone with National Guard troops helping them navigate the backroads. They are all from the Big City (Louisville and that area). Responding to evacuate NB I-65 South of here near a town called Upton. Some folks stranded for 18 plus hours now, temps dropping to 0 tonight. Glad they thought to call me.

You mean you stopped burying female contraceptive devices (IUD's) and started burying land mines?

Great, now you went and let him in on the secret. I was counting on his Alzheimer's making him think IUDs really were land mines...... You know " Oh honey, I forgot my IUD last night, guess we gotta get married......
