If they look you in the eye, run.....or shorter hair than you......or bigger sideburns/moustache....well, just run.
There was a time not long ago, unless she had a ellen degeneres haircut, a beard, or one of a few other signs, I didn't have a clue.

The phone I got is an LG Optimus Fuel. $60 at walmart, plus $45/month for unlimited talk, text, data, straight-talk service. Seems like a decent phone so far. Might go get a back-up if I still like it next week.

MADSON! Mad, isn't there some rectifying to do later if you beat up chaplains? hope travel was nice, and you wore the SMITH nametag....

docs, meds and back home to rest. MRSA sux. took poison ivy to a whole new level of bad. pretty bad when you get intubated in the waiting room cause you can't breathe....had to smile for the little kids. no worries!
glad I was an EMT....no stress when I am my own patient, I guess. my hubby about passed out, he got ice cream. dang!

not working at all Heidi!
Nope. I'm weeding out the ones that aren't serious. Besides, I'm covered by grace I don't travel in uniform, so no worries about a name tag

I'm really sorry to hear they had to get serious on you in the hospital. I had a nice ambulance ride a few weeks ago, they tried to hit me with the paddles but I fought them off. Get better!

Mornin!

Last time I went near a hospital (the attached clinic) I went in with a pencil poke, maybe slightly infected, and came home with a life threatening C-diff infection.

Fought em off when they wanted to invade my sore **** with heavy equipment and bullied them into giving me a prescription for metronidazole, which is the standard antibiotic for said bug. On the way out I asked if he thought I should take pro-biotics. He said, "A little yogurt might help." 2 days off the end of the anti-biotic, it came back with gusto. Having gotten past my youngest son's wedding, I fasted 2 days, and ate kefir four times a day after that, with nothing but kefir for one day. Further augmented the regimen with Saccharomyces Boulardii. I haven't had trouble since.

Hat, you saying yer a crackhead?

jeesh, not a good phone call home when melons get thumped!

technically, Madson, you are a cracked jar head. with angry intent spilling out....
I dropped my bike at low speed after being ticked by a rich lady who stole my chicken BBQ meals I had worked all day for, to share with my elderly tenant. so ticked that I had the fire and state troopers backing away from me, telling them I cannot afford to pay for the EMS ride to the ER or the insurance rate hike later. ticked about my bike scuffing and no way home.
one bolt broke, but it was holding the handle bars. Trooper called Harley dealer who has known me for 40 years. MORAL: never be too ****** to realize others will find a way to help your stupid self.....ANY head injury means phone a friend! victims do not get to be in charge.....period.

JM, you are the perfect MI homesteader/pioneer/time traveler! some day I am gonna have to shake yer hand! gotta map ipsilati first...loved the UP and west coast with the Caribbean blue waters. windy as all get out though...whew!

62 degrees, oct in ny. yeah, on the bike for a lunch stop (pulled pork with slaw) ride around the lake n home. picked up truck and picked up big set of cold frames with windows. little hardware stop and back home for project finishing. awesome day, have one like it where you live DTRers!!!

post, no cliques, no hawks....just say HI! whacha doin'?

JWBM. if you ever head for the left coast, take the northern route and stop by. There's bound to be something I'm growing, hunting, foraging to sample. How 'bout catch of the day over charcoal and cherry wood?

Oh, and charcoal around ain't those lignite briquettes you buy in bags. Nope, it's salvaged from the winter heating, or if that supply runs out, home made retort charcoal.

Afternooner all!

This place seems familiar even with the new decorations. I guess you cant decorate the smell away.

Been a busy (and very wet ) summer. Still, Lots of fun to be had. It rained enough that the basements at work flooded for nearly 2 months straight! If we had any rats here they would have abandoned ship......

I got a new toy......

Lots of fun there.... It's built like a tank but it floats.

I got to do a bit of international travel too. Spent almost 2 weeks in South Africa hunting plainsgame. I got several nice trophies awaiting import....

I had an Aunt move up here from Kansas and bought a house with a small farm attached so now I get to learn about keeping chickens in the cold. So far so good and I get all the fresh eggs I want. She's considering goats or pigs next summer too as well as all the vegetables. The previous owner also has 12-15 trees marked that do well for tapping to make birch syrup in the spring.

gonna be a busy winter too but that should help keep me young.
