Son finished the route 66 marathon in Tulsa today. I caught up with him about mile 20 and walked with him for a mile there to get his spirits back up and then caught him again about 25.7 and walked with him to the end. he cramped up pretty bad about mile 19. he finished, tho.

btw, I HATE TULSA!
plain and simple - big congratulations to him for finishing!!

email gets delivered without a vpn, but everything else I do on the work laptop gets run thru the vpn
just hate it when im on a questionable speed location and someone decides to see how large of a file they can send me.

Tallguy, thanks, I'll pass it along to him. I feel like Ive done a 5k or so... As much sympathy and worrying about how he's doing.

I really detest the security system the company is forced to use over there. When I get to work I need to log in with my badge number and password. That then opens a window into a bigger window and to open the bigger window need my badge number again and a different password. Now I need to open my email and that asks for my badge number and another password. Now I need to open the system I use for my work which is called NCMS. Before I can get to NCMS I need to first access Citrix which asks for my badge number and yet another password. Now I can open NCMS which wants my badge number again and still another password. If I want to view any drawings, then, you guessed it, badge number and another password. We are not supposed to write down our passwords, but we all do. No way we can remember them all, especially when the system frequently forces us to change them. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. There are other things i use there that all ask for different passwords.

Hi Mom. I read that you have been having a few problems. You OK now?
Can't be too bad if you are carving a bear using a chainsaw.

Bob, that's true but if I go who will aggravate Scott? My work here is not done.

Heidi, thanks!

Stan, I was amazed at the church today. Our building was full - - probably could not have seated another 30 or so people. Cecil was a character - - was a hippy in his younger years - - was in the Army, then joined the sheriff's dept in Sarasota County. Had a really good scare, came to our church and ended up face to face with God and where he could have been, really turned his life around along with help from God, attended our church about 20 years now. Was well known as being a tough cop - - it was said he would give his own mother a ticket if she was speeding, then take her home and tutor her. He started tutoring in the public schools to kids that were in trouble. He would put the hammer down on them to get their attention, then became their mentor. Many of them came to our church, came face to face with their future as it was and turned around. There were a lot of people with some great stories of how he helped them. Wow, what a testimony. Left behind a bunch of godly children and grandchildren who loved him deeply. Huge contingency of military buddies and from the sheriff's department and local police department. There were cop cars all over the parking lot. Great service with very few dry eyes even from the tough cops and military.

Gunno turn this thing off for the night and go keep the blonde company. See ya in morn - -nighty night.

Bob

HEY - - - HEY - - - GIMME A BREAK. I was up on my crutches at 4:30 AM and at my desk within ten minutes. I should have opened the new breakroom BUT I HAD WORK TO DO. Wrapped up my paperwork, dressed, ate some food, off to church, taught my class, went to service, grabbed a bite, back for the funeral and finally back home by 5:15 PM. Long hard day for hop along Bobby. So there. When did your fanny get out of bed? Did the rest of your bod follow along? ...............
