Tonight on the way home, my hay haulin, hard workin, black smokin rig out ran an 05 wrx sti. It belongs to my brother and he always gave me props on my Ram, But now its nothin but respect. The race went like this. i was in front of him in traffic after leaving a truck lot. ( my friend might buy a 99 24valve ) We both turned left and he quickly got next to me. I didnt front until I was in forth gear at 1300 rpm. He was in third. I stand on the yee ha pedal and so does he. He squirts ahead about half a car length... But then full boost hit s and 50 pounds of boost in his ear . My rig steamed rolled his little subee. I pulled all the way through forth and the beginning of fifth. When all was said and done I had him by just a car length but the look on his face was pricless. Needless to say my buddy really wants this 99 ctd. Thought yall might want to know.

Most "quick" AWD cars aren't all that once rolling... the AWD gives them a great jump off the line...
This coming from a former turbo AWD car owner.. I would never run the V-8's from a roll... only from a stop.
Still, a truck vs. a quick car is still impressive! especially starting at 1300rpm..

Take a look at this video. Now, I realize this is not an "apple to apple" comparison. This is only to show that many turbo'd cars suffer from heavy turbo lag.
